If not through the internet as a medium then how? this perplexes me. Maybe something like open garden but Isp's are still required..you could build your own mesh network from scratch, but how about the infrastructure are you a recluse billionaire coder?

Radio. Good old radio. WiFi can be used to build a mesh network (radius of range from 60 to 200 meters for one node). Luckily, Qubic doesn't require global availability of data and works even for isolated groups.

mining is so 2012-2013
In the video, he states "good luck [to NXT]" when I asked what prevented NXT from also developing a scripting language.

What does this mean?

I can only guess that he knows something that we don't know. Maybe some hidden obstacles that r very hard to avoid. I bet Vitalik spent much more time mulling the idea of Turing-complete scripting language hosted on a blockchain than anyone else, so I tend to think that we overlooked something and will face serious problems in the future.

Maybe Vitalik looked through the Nxt code and found the killswitch you talk about. If we ever start to look like a serious threat to Etherium, he will nuke our blockchain.

Good job on the video Asian Prepper!

It seemed to me that both of them were pretty clear about what he meant "good luck with that" in that they didn't think it was possible to have a scripting language in this kind of platform unless the foundation was a scripting language.  I have no idea technically what that means, but it seemed like they did.  One thing I know, knew doors open up where people didn't think doors existed.  He did admit on the surface NXT is planning to achieve all the same things that Ethereum is doing in the short term and NXT has a head start.  It seems like NXT and Ethereum are both in a really good position, but for different reasons.  This is going to be a great couple of years!

is ~2015 mean before 2015 or around 2015?

Somewhere from 2014 to 2016.

Edit: the only other way is if you are aware of tesla's research and innovation of transmitting data over long distances..without wired connectivity

All of us (i think) in the cryptocurrency space want to spread the message about this new technology, medium of exchange.  I am putting alot of time into contributing time and resources into a project which I feel adds to this message.  Many people who are aware of cryptocurrency are not participating in it or hold any coins of any sort.  I feel strongly that my finished book will introduce new comers and sceptics of cryptocurrencies so as to give them enough confidence to get involved
rrors, these are easily sorted.  I do have a full time job as well as trying to get this project completed too.

Please stop spamming this thread with your "project".
This "book" is absurd and I hope, nobody spends money on this.

I think that CfB's unanswered question is something we can use to our advantage (others *in the loop* already know this).

Have Ethereum dev's answered all your questions?

No. They ignored one question.

Maybe Vitalik looked through the Nxt code and found the killswitch you talk about. If we ever start to look like a serious threat to Etherium, he will nuke our blockchain.

I doubt, more likely that he doesn't take Nxt seriously.

Shocked  Shocked  Shocked  Shocked  Shocked He doesn't have to take us seriously if he can delete our blockchain on a whim.  Shocked  Shocked  Shocked  Shocked  Shocked

Hi CfB, ETA?

Hi. ~2015, coz I have to solve the problem of a medium. Internet can't be used for that coz it can be easily switched off. Wi-Fi Direct looks like a good candidate but broad/multicasting issue is not solved there yet.

He doesn't. You can see it on his face (on Tai Zen's videos)

Whom should I bribe to have Qubic (3.0 gen) added into this list?  Wink

Will there be an "IPO" for Qubic?

No.

These 8 Coins will be at top of my coin compare matrix(CCM):

Bitcoin(BTC)   Litecoin(LTC)   Ethereum   Peercoin(PPC)   Mastercoin(MSC)   Nxt(NXT)   Counterparty (XCP)   Bitshares(PTS)

good?

delete Litecoin

Delete bitcoin, litecoin and peercoin....Only the 2.0 like coins should be compared

btc and ltc should be in, to point out the diff from 1.0 to 2.0. i also think peercoin could be deleted.

Yeah the contrast seems very important especially to newbies, but I see no reason why litecoin should be included.

Edit: Delete litecoin and peercoin....Only the 2.0 like coins should be compared..cfb can travel back in time to add qubic

If you can build something superior and 3.0 to nxt then your time machine should help you edit the list anytime Wink

very nice video Tai Zen, was fun to watch it. of course he is aware of nxt. moreover he is also aware about the time-advantage nxt have.
this is critical to ethereum. if you look closer to what vitalik said, you find out that nxt has already everything ethereum plans.
the functional differences for the scripting language is very minor in results but huge if you consider the now, real existing featureset
compared to ethereums roadmap.

(one reason why i recommended a feature matrix today, to make exactly this visible)

edit: instead ranting here about a completely normal price oszillation, during a general crypto downtrend. we better concentrate to transfer the
existing featureset message.

The time advantage of the Nxt "Starfish" is huge....as long as we don't stumble it would be very difficult to catch us....we just gotta be humble and look ahead for "Pot holes".

....and also keep up to date on any advances Ethereum makes.

Resistance to the Nxt "Collective" is futile.
