Hello. Today I was contacted by a TV channel Belarus 1. They are preparing a report about bitcoin and other crypro. They want to receive a comment. CFB u live in my town. I can send them to u. This would be a great promotion for Nxt.
What do u think?
http://clip2net.com/s/6GU7BV

I don't give interviews. Never did, never will.

PS: That was not a bus, just appendicitis.

Good decision. Don't trust anyone online and offline, especially at the time Russian government is targeting cryptocurrencies.

I've just read an interesting article about Nxt - http://cryptolife.net/in-depth-analysis-nxt/
I noticed 2 mistakes made by the author:
1. He used "In depth" in the title but all the info is based on rumors.
2. He attempted to tell about cryptography, but he understands nothing in it as I see.
I paid attention to the name of the author and saw it was Hazard - one of the most famous Nxt trolls. Looks like he is very upset coz of Nxt success. I'm looking forward to see his face in April, hehe.

I posted the following a week ago. And I may continue to post it every now and then to help alleviate the stress of thinking about the voting system the wrong way.

There are ways to consider the voting other than the two that have been outlined thus far, namely "1 Account = 1 Vote" and "1 NXT = 1 Vote".

The goal is "1 Human = 1 Vote" right, so here are some options to achieve or approximate that.

- Asset defined voting cards haven't been mentioned. (These can have a minimum fee to greatly reduce spam)
- Decentralised identification verification hasn't been mentioned. (Not necessarily for the entire network. Just particular groups/communities).
- Random sampling of voters hasn't been mentioned.
- Pre-voting hasn;'t been mentioned.
- Captchas havn't been mentioned.
- Random temporal voting hasn't been mentioned (you get 10 minutes to vote but at a random time for example. Logistically this would make managing multiple sock-puppet accounts difficult).
- Proof of Voter Education hasn't been mentioned (you must prove that you are educated on the topic which you are voting on for example).

All of these can use "1 Account = 1 Vote" at the protocol level. So leave it at that forever. Just like 1 NXT as a transaction fee at the protocol level is perfect. Other user-facing transaction fees can be handled by communities and DACs and off-chain payment processors etc. etc.

Please think beyond the protocol level. It will only make you dizzy to restrict your thinking that low. This is the year of emergent complexity within the wider cryptocurrency community - wake up to it and prepare yourself for it!

- Asset defined voting cards haven't been mentioned. (These can have a minimum fee to greatly reduce spam)
Please can you explain this?

- Decentralised identification verification hasn't been mentioned.
Already mentioned from Jcsarokrin and already listed.

- Random sampling of voters hasn't been mentioned.
Please, explain?

- Captchas havn't been mentioned.
Already mentioned from Anon136 and already listed.

- Random temporal voting hasn't been mentioned ....
Min. time is needed to make the voting tranparent.
Puppet accounts don't need to become created at Poll-Start, they are possibly already existing....

- Proof of Voter Education hasn't been mentioned
Reputation system is already mentioned.
Who decide if someone is educated enough?

a sneak peak to my idea about a green Nxt video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ic_WLMPX888&feature=youtu.be

Excellent!!! Excellent !!! Excellent!!!

Here's some comments as I watch it scene by scene:

Leave the "Emmanuel Abiodun" tag line up longer (at least 10 seconds)  before you cover it with the "$17 million" tag line so the viewer can ID the guy.  Currently you just flash this for three seconds and the viewer wonders what they missed and didn't have time to read.

Don't make the viewer's eye shuffle back and forth over three short lines. Center in the screen a top line that says "Bitcoin network:" and below that a SINGLE LINE centered on the screen that says "7 Transactions Per Second (TPS)" - all words with initial caps, bring the two parens as close together as possible.  Pop the Bitcoin network line in first, the fade the TPS lin in a few moments later.  The blue outline script is perfect - brrr!

I would reedit the overlays and the video in your next sequence a little.   The musical opening is perfect.  Slowly fade in the top line, "He's Mining NXT right now" using the the contraction.   Just as the phone becomes visible (because you've reedited the  timing of the scene a little), fade in a new second line in the middle of the screen, "On his smartphone".  This works because the viewer is mentally asking "How?" from your first question, and you answer that explicitly with video shot so the phone is perfectly positioned below the center line talking about the phone.  After a beat you fade in a third line at the bottom (in the same orange outline text - drop that yellow solid text), a much shorter version of what you say in yellow:  "NXT.  $300 per day for 7 TPS".  Hold that for a beat, then fade in two new top green lines:  "Mine NXT on your" and "smartphone or Raspberry Pi".  (Note the "y" and not "I" on "Raspberry".

Then cut these two top lines and fade in your " Iceland/ Bitcoin" lines.  Again, I would shorten the Bitcoin line to a single line of  "Don't waste energy on Bitcoin" and just leave out the word mining at this point.  Shift the emphasis from the mining to the total coin itself.

In general, try to make the lines as short as possible and avoid having to make the viewer cycle their eyes back and forth.

I suggest the following short lines (and only short lines)  for your overlays:

*******************************

Bitcoin network:
7 Transactions Per Second (TPS)

He's mining NXT right now
On his smartphone
NXT: $300 per day for 7 TPS

Mine NXT with your
smartphone or Raspberry Pi
NXT: $300 per day for 7 TPS

Don't freeze in Iceland
Don't waste energy on Bitcoin

NXT:
100,000 TPS
coming soon

mynxt.org

**************************

Short lines stick with the viewer.  Long lines distract them from the video while they figure out the long lines.

This is REALLY GOOD WORK, Salsacz.  Congrats!

If I get to speak in Texas, I will leave this video looping over and over with no sound behind me on the screen during the 20 minute audience question and answer session....

just about a mechanism, which allows some experts having more votes than common people.
And what kind of problems do u expect to solve with voting? We've only tech. ones: how the most effective divide funds, how high/low setup fees, which features'll improve Nxt and so on. So we need exactly skilled-based system for good decisions.

Forum discussion is good enough for me.

1 NXT = 1 VOTE is fair.
As like as "value", "fair" generally relative thing. I don't care about it. I suppose we'd look for most effective scheme to solve specific problems, but not for a way how setup fairness in anything. It's impossible.

+1, 1 Nxt = 1 Vote, it's the only way to do it in a POS currency.
To do what? To get opinions based on wealth distribution. Give me some examples, how it'll help to solve, say, current problems, better than just forum poll (or even personal thinking).

Why are we suddenly number 4 on CoinMarketCap.com?

Wasn't there another big altcoin between NXT and Bitcoin?

Edit: It was ripple. Cheesy They removed them, yeha! Cheesy

Seems like Ripples got moved down to 77.
Either they took them off or it is only temporary.

Also, we better hide CfB.

the probability that kgb will come to you is 99,99% IMHO!!!

Update: Collecting Voting Models and Options

More and more it becomes clear there is not THE ONE way for VS.
But there are different poll-categories, e.g "assets polls" is different category as "best button-color polls".

The poll initiator should be able to choose boundary conditions depending on poll-topic.
The poll boundary conditions need to be transparent during run time.
To be more constructive lets try to collect some "Voting Models":

general options:

- min. permitted Account Deposit

- min. permitted Account age (Blocks)

- poll duration (Blocks)

- Voting Fee

Voting Models:

+ 1 NXT        ==   1 Vote  { vote = Func(accountBalance) }

+ 1 NXT        ==   X Vote  { x = Func(accountBalance) =  polynom * accountBalance}

+ 1 Account  ==  1 Vote   { vote = Func(accountBalance) =  0.5 * accountBalance}

Jcsarokrin:
+ 1 Account  ==  1 Vote   { Biometric Authenification: http://juliansarokin.com/100-years-the-future-of-government/ }

ChuckOne:
+  1 Account  ==   X Vote = X( Voting Fee ) = log(fee)+1
+  1 NXT       ==    X Vote = X( Voting Fee, Account Deposit)   =  log(fee/balance)+1

Anon136:
+ 1 Account + 1 solved captcha  ==   1Vote

no claim to completeness!

We need to discuss selection options too:
[true]    [false]    [abstention]
I think [abstention] provides an important information too.
E.g. a high count of [abstention] tells the poll creator "interesting question buddy, but not this way!!!" ...

It makes sense to collect all ideas to keep the overview.
Please extent the "general options" and "voting models" and "selection options" ideas!!!
