Is actually anybody here trading at Bter? I see some issues with withdrawal/deposits reported:

I bought a small amount of Nxt on Bter to test yesterday and withdrawl went through fine.

I've used them many times in the past and haven't had any issues.

Generally speaking that is right.
the only issue I met was you can't process TAG withdrawal or CENT deposit.

Maybe someone from the developer / GUI developer side can point out requirements for GUI clients to me?!

I am working on putting the API into a PyQt4 client, but what is considered the most urgent by the community? What are the use cases?

I know that ppl are waiting for a messaging GUI client - what does it have to do?

What nxt network info is required to be updated regularly, ie blocks/transactions/peers?

Are there any bounties left? I came relatively late to nxt, and I'd like to earn some!

I know about the Nxt full feature clients - progress tracking thread and I'll cross post this MSG there, but that thread is almost dead it seems, and this thread is  so swamped with general discussion, it

really seems difficult to get specific things sorted out here ...

I know why Nxt price is rising:

Doge is trying to catch Nxt, Nxt is trying to flee.

I use them. 5 pages of complaints (in 2 months) for an exchange that deals with dozens of altcoins and thousands of customers is not bad, especially considering the language barrier.

I've never had a problem with either deposit or withdraw, but I am sure it is possible for some problems. If you run into a problem, make sure to send email translated into Chinese along with original English. Also, send deposits in increments, there is no fee for deposits.

any problems bter has I would consider minor considering the alternatives

WTF! This is not only a coin currency transaction processor! This is also a SCI-FI movie!

Real life applications of Artificial Neural Nets

Function approximation, or regression analysis, including time series prediction, fitness approximation and modeling.

Used to determine next account to forge and to speed up transaction times?

Data processing, including filtering, clustering, blind source separation and compression.

Obvious applications.

Classification, including pattern and sequence recognition, novelty detection and sequential decision making.

I think that's why it's written in java and uses base64/hex extensively  Smiley...

Oh, wait, what?  I didn't know .nxt was a GTLD candidate?  When did this happen?

I only speak from conjecture, not knowledge.

For a moment there, I thought my dotNxt.org registration was done for naught.

(I have plans.  Much technical reading to do still.  I'll shut up and code now.)

NXT/CNY   0.85570 CNY   9,766,003.96 NXT   5,419,920.71 CNY   1,268.41 BTC
NXT/BTC   0.16000 mBTC   9,838,657.90 NXT   975.82 BTC   975.82 BTC

The cumulative 24 hour NXT trade volume on BTER is 2244.23 BTC or approximately 1.89 Million USD.
Not bad for a second tier exchange!

My guess is all the other second tier exchanges and some first tier ones will start seriously looking at adding NXT this month
$100,000 per month in commissions is nothing to sneeze at.

Re: Voting...

Why are we still having this discussion?

Nxt is PoS, voting should be based upon stake: 1 NXT == 1 Vote.

It's the only fair way.

This seems obvious to me but maybe I'm missing something. Are small stakeholders afraid that large stakeholders will band together and vote to take away their money or something? Is something nefarious like that even possible? What mechanism is in place to enforce voting results?

Big stakeholders could do that, but exactly after total value of NXT will become $0. Why they would do something like that?
