If you are new to Nxt and don't want to read through 1131 pages of posts, come to the wiki:
- Learn about Nxt
- Get started
- get basic questions answered in the FAQ and common problems pages
- Learn how to set up a public node on a VPS, using laowai80's steps
- read up on the Nxt high-level API, which you can use to build apps, games, clients, utilities, and more
- find additional resources for programmers, including suggested methods for handling transactions, a PHP library, and more.
- check out the current draft version of the Nxt whitepaper, which is being built and refined by top community contributors (it's still rough, but there's lots of great content already)

Also remember there are great forums with lots of info and support for beginners. Many of the best Nxt wiki articles are based on information originally contributed here:
- The nxtcrypto.org forum
- The nextcoin.org forum

Wiki contributors pull information from these threads every day to keep the wiki up to date. You can also help contribute, or translate.

This thread is long and daunting for new folks, and most of the conversation here is not helpful for beginners. So don't get frustrated -- come to the places where new folks are welcomed and pampered!

Bter is listed as the second biggest exchange by volume and DGE/CNY is the biggest portion of their volume. So this is where DGE volume comes from.

until recently LTC was the only thing that even came close. Maybe during some LTC frenzy it did, but I seriously doubt it as all the LTC frenzies were during BTC frenzies.

This is definitely historic moment. DOGE is proving that BTC is vulnerable. If DOGE can unseat BTC's trading volume, then it isn't so crazy for people to accept NXT unseating BTC market cap. I would much rather have BTC marketcap for NXT than BTC trading volumes.

The minimum fee should be set at 0.01 fast. What happens if NXT rises 10x in the next week? A $1 minimum fee? Ridiculous. It will be almost impossible to shake the relation nxt = very expensive transaction fees after that.

bter is a real exchange. I use them all the time. Considering the number of people that use it, there are bound to be support issues. My guess is that they prioritize request that are in Chinese first. I don't think they have much of an English speaking support. My recommendation is to send support request to them in english and bot translated Chinese so they at least know what you are talking about, without having to translate it themselves.

DOGE just passed BTC's 24 hr trading volume

NXT is within 10% of Peercoin market cap

Gotta get some sleep, but not sure what will happen during 8 hours...

Either NXT bounces back to .0001 or shoots to .0002, either are very possible.
If DOGE really becomes the number 1 traded crypto, it will get to LTC market cap sooner than anybody thinks is possible. If DOGE can do that, it will pave the path for NXT to reach BTC market cap.

We need all the promised tech features on time with coordinated marketing campaign. DOGE becomes NXT's unexpected ally in climbing the marketcap ranks!
