Just like to say what a great Job you've been doing with NXT. I have invested some funds almost two weeks ago and happy to say forged 16 NXT
I've been following this topic since the start and have only just registered in the forum, so newbie.
I do have a 4GB 4 core VPS that I would like to set up as a peer. Yesterday I downloaded 0.4.2 onto my peer and did not finish setting it up with hallmark. Should I just delete the nxt.zip and nxt folder and download the latest version.
Also I'm running Ubuntu 13.04 (64 bit), is that OK to use as I know you recommend Debian.

Ubuntu is ok, use my setup guide in the signature, for hallmark too, it should work.
P.S. servers are still needed? Today I can buy and try to use that 2$/month server that nobody believes in
Yeah, please do that and report how it works.
See, you could get away with it, if you're the only user running java on that server, but if many users joined in, the server would crash or the admin would start limiting down resources.
So that's why it may be ok to try those hosts, but when we need masses of VPSs running, it's best to choose something more reliable that $1-2 hosts.

At the top there is still nxt 0.4.0 title.

It's funny, one transaction, that I sent right between blocks 24167 and 24168 shows 3 times now, 1 confirmed and 2 unconfirmed

I lost all my aliases, but I still see the transactions that charged me for them?

Or they might not.. is there a high confirmation # for them? This happened to me and I lost one (someone else now owns it I guess) because I was stuck out on a forked (orphaned) block it seems. Even though it was confirmed was given a transaction ID etc. I've brought this up to some of the developers but it seems to not be an imperative because of the bigger issues which are being corrected.
You might just get yours back though, time will tell.
about how long will this take to catch up, been up all night, but want to make sure I got my aliases or reregister them...
