thanks to neer.g for sponsoring 5 VPSs for 3 months.  big ones too, some 2GB RAM and 3TB data ones, i will make them public and will hallmark them and monitor them for free, he just paid for them since he doesnt have the knowhow to operate them.

i encourage others to do the same, im about to start working on getting them up  now.

what version NRS should I use?  and thanks laowai80 for the awesome tutorial

I don't remember if this question came up before:
If I have 200 nxt, 100 forging, another 100 maturing...
- it is not possible. If 100 NXT forging, all coming NXT starts to forge immediately.
Oh, I didn't know that.
But that would explain how did I forged three blocks, after I moved the majority of my coins just today to a new address Smiley

thanks

If I understand correctly, this will make all nodes into public nodes as long as 7874/7875 are accessible from the internet?

No. Nodes that u connect to will connect back, but they won't announce ur address to peers.

I thought myAddress was the only thing that separated a private node from a public node.  How is the private/public distinction made?

I don't remember if this question came up before:
If I have 200 nxt, 100 forging, another 100 maturing, and I send someone 100 coins, which coins will be part of the transaction? The still maturing coins, the matured ones, or it is random?

Coins r indistinguishable

IDEX - LIVE Real-time DEX
Ok, I'll see if I can figure a way to time it. I can't refresh 10 non-stop by hand!

Rough assessment is enough

Ok, I'm timing using this:

Code:
$ while true; do bin/nxt state --server nodeX.nxtbase.com | grep "lastBlock:"; date; done

When the block id matches the current one, I can get the time from the stamp.

Guys, I'd like to know how many of u, who run Nxt on a dynamic IP, have 7874 TCP port open for incoming connections. I'm going to get rid of "myAddress", peers will try to connect back to each other to make Nxt network more symmetrical.

do u have a list of strong nodes to add?

No. Add any nodes with non-zero weight that u see.

CfB should i add some nodes to my two public nodes for try to let them stay into the correct branch?

We need as many nodes as possible.

It was probably a question on adding anything to web.xml
or not
not sure.

Ah, yes, adding a node can help.

@cfb, do we have some pattern to identify zombies ip's ?

edit: let's say near reliable?

Aye. If u send them incorrect version they'll return it back as their own. There are some other patterns but after using them for filtering I cut some legit nodes off.

Edit: U can count volume of data u upload to them. They ask for a lot of data back.

Hi all

24 hours and the coins are hold in DGEX. Fortunately I only lost a few cents in this test.

web Fallen , forum fallen , exchange fails, manipulated prices. immature client application , no source code and profits of mining depends on the amount of currency that my fucking pc stores . .

This coin is not for me ..... bye next

.

bye have fun

If it is past the specified 12-24 hours time frame stated in the NXT withdrawal tab, I truly understand your furstration, but please find the strength to calm down and accept that this took place due to an unforeseen attack. I know for sure that you will get your NXT as soon as they resolve issues attributed to this malicious attack.

Thanks for reply but I think it will be not resolved shortly.

can not buy easily because of the lack of a serious exchange and the network is under attack frequently.

my frustration as you say it is due to see the expectations for what was supposed to be the second generation currency have not been met.

Regards

.
