3.10 works pretty stable for me, the only bug left is peer widget duplicate ip keep growth

Did you start from a fresh directory or with the previous .nxt files already downloaded.

I always use the old .nxt files, every time c-f-b release a new version, I just download only his nxt.zip, unzip and overwrite exist files.

Looks like 0.3.10 doesn't update web page until it downloads all block. Then everything work as usual.

For me, I now resolved the problem. In my case the problem was that I had saved all versions in different folders and so it was creating new ".nxt" files.

I have copied the ".nxt" files from the 3.6 folder to 3.10 and now it seems to work. Only the "NRS" is a bit strange ...

May I suggest to keep a list of old versions so if people have problem with the newest version, they can roll back to the older ones?

EDIT: after checking the size of blocks.nxt in real time. It seems multiple threads are writing to it simultaneously without lock.

Thanks. I tried this, I think the error was to connect without "https". With https://localhost:7875 it connects now.

Now the client gets stuck (no new blocks etc.) and I get a java.lang.NullPointerException at start. Also, the webpage title is "NRS", not "NXT". Is this right? Or is this a fake client? (I didn't unlock my account as it seems strange).
Try removing "blocks.nxt" from the NXT folder (Back it up just in case though, I don't know enough about NXT to be sure if it's important) and then start it up. I had the same problem and that fixed it.

I've tried this. Now the java.lang.NullPointerException is gone, but no blocks are downloading. And it keeps connecting only via https.

Also, sometimes when I try to close it with Ctrl-C in the terminal, it doesn't close and I have to kill it with kill -9 (under Linux). All this behavior is only in 3.10 version.

It is NRS - What does that stand for?
and yeah the https works the same as the http... The gui is there but no nxt in wallet... Weird

Did this too and it didn't solve anything.

Hmm.. It's not a big deal yet. If it doesn't update in a few days and we can't trouble shoot it I may be a little sad but not destroyed heh
It's definitely something to do with the client. If you feel like it, try redownloading the NXT client, making a new folder, and starting it from there. If that works, it's probably one of the *.nxt files that's causing you problems.

If you close the nxt when it's downloading blocks, the block file may be corrupted and you need to delete all .nxt files and restart. It's very troublesome since downloading the whole block becomes slower and slower.

 If somebody didn't mentioned that:

Here is my Nxt logo proposition. It might be just a draft (will work under different representations), but I guess it represent ideas behind this brand new PoS coin: it’s dynamic, light, but stable and use green… Forging! No more dust, rigs and drunk miners Wink. I really mean it and I propose everyone to say “forging” instead of “mining” in pure PoS systems. Its easier to explain all the differences if you you use different word for that. So, as an Nxt emblem I also propose an anvil. There are many metaphoric parallels which helps us to explain this coin to newbies. So like:  to forge a steel you need another steel equipment. You have to buy a hammer to forge. And so on… Just another stage after mining. Raw materials such as ore must be processed to be useful in everyday life.

Or is this a fake client (I downloaded it from the link at http://nextcoin.org/index.php/topic,4.0.html) ? I didn't unlock my account as it seems strange.

I thought my client was stuck too, but when I've logged out and back in, the block count increased.

I really suggest pass tests on all platforms before releasing a new version. Now the value of Nxt increases more than 10x, it is no longer proper to release apparently buggy software handling large number of money.

@bugs:

Client 3.10 seems not to work here. I get no web interface ("The connection was reset" error)
3.6 (my last update before 3.10) works well.

I had it too, even if java was not running anymore the port was still locked. After a reboot 3.10 started working.

Thanks. I tried this, I think the error was to connect without "https". With https://localhost:7875 it connects now.

I like this.  It has a nice, clean feel to it, it provides the pronunciation and it conveys the proper message of "Next Generation Cryptocurrency".
