Removing all peers (blacklistend, known, active), restaring server - doesn't help.
I still have Recent blocks [1] (with genesis block in list), Orphaned blocks [2] (both with height 1), and nothing more.

Make sure you are running 'java -cp Nxt.zip Nxt' in your Nxt directory.  The directory which contains assets.nxt, blocks.nxt, peers.nxt, accounts.nxt, and transactions.nxt.

- Do NOT run Nxt on a VPS.  Only run Nxt locally.  Even if you connect to your VPS securely via SSH, you are still not safe because all VPSs have backdoors..
False, I'd rather run on a FRESH fire-walled VPS than locally. Sorry. The security policy only allows inbound SSH connections from MY ip, all inbound ports are blocked.

Just a guess, coz block generation stopped near the time my server crashed.

How to know if somebody is mining on my node?

Block port 7875 to prevent others from mining on your node.
I don't want to block anybody. I want to know. Is there some command or api in the client?

No, AFAIK.

Deleted blocks.nxt, three times got "catching up" and restarted Nxt.zip, now stuck at 3043 and cannot mine  Cry

Stop deleting our blockchain! Move it to other place instead, plz.

I had to because the application is so unstable, I've ran it on two seperate computers and it fails pretty horribly sometimes. So much that I have to delete all the *.nxt files.

Copy them to somewhere instead of deleting plz. Things may go a way when u'll be the last who holds blockchain copy. Smiley

What happened between 3078 and 3079 blocks? There were no blocks more than an hour

My server crashed and most of guys were mining on it. I suggest to use other bootstrapping servers for mining.

Run your own nodes locally!  When you all use one central server, it makes the network reliant on that node.

Remove all peers from the black list and ur node should find the one with longer chain.
Removed.
Now I have "Recent blocks [-3012]", "Orphaned blocks [3077]", empty block list with "catchups" and balance -9.00 Cheesy

Hah, I did the same and got the same results Sad.

Repeat again until u get the result.

...it is much safer too run it locally...   Wink
I run local server, and it stuck on 3072.
If I run clean install, it stuck on 3043.
