Offer to the Community

I am a stakeholder and contributor here who has been following intently and am intimately familiar with what sems to be the needs and desires of this community.

I also happen to be a professional "head hunter" with a registered business. Aviston Technical Services, Inc located in Franklin Park, IL
I have been recruiting for over 10 years. I've owned my own recruiting company for over a year now. You can view my linkedin profile at https://www.linkedin.com/in/avistontech my companies website (which is kind of basic and not something I focus on) is at http://avistontech.com

I have not been able to help noticing that this community seems to be in dire need of Java Developers, which in my experience are very very difficult to find and place. They are one of the most in demand type of programmers there are and companies pay people like me a premium to find them. If you can find a good Java programmer to work with you it's almost a guaranteed placement as long as you market them around to the right companies.

Most of my experience as a Recruiter has been in filling Technical Positions in the Mfg. industry such as Maintenance Technician, Q.A Managers, Production Managers, etc for Foods, Plastics & Chemical Mfg companies. I have successfully recruited Programmers but mainly these are Control engineers who are able to program Programmable Logic Controllers.

However considering my knowledge w/ NXT and BTC and also considering the fact that I have done some programming myself (mostly C, Javascript and PHP) I think if I had some good details regarding the specific needs for these roles that i could be successful in recruiting them.

Which leads me to the question of whether the community here might not be interested in enlisting the services of someone such as myself to help locate a good Java developer to continue this project when C.F.B departs.

My services are offered on a contingency basis, meaning it's an all or nothing proposition to my clients, either I fill the position and collect my "bounty", which is typically 25% of annual base salary or I don't and I get 0, zip, nada for my efforts. I can offer better rates for retained services.

I have a careerbuilder account and can post an ad for the position (this costs $419 to put up yourself) and also go into the database and seek out candidates with the required skills for the position and contact them directly. I typically spend many hours talking in great detail with each candidate, probing for weaknesses, making sure it's the right fit and is something the candidate would be excited to be hired for. I then present the candidates for interview and help coordinate that as well. I also generally offer a free replacement guarantee, typically 60 days,  to ensure the new hire transitions and sticks with their new role and the company isn't left out of a large sum for new hires that don't work out. . I would be open to receiving my commission completely in NXT, which could also be something of a historical event (a recruiting company who accepts NXT) and perhaps a blurb could be added to the marketing literature.

I cannot offer my services for free as it is very time consuming and it is what I do for a living. I could consider offering an attractive rate, perhaps 20% of annual base instead of my usual 25% since I am invested in NXT and believe in the product very much.

So I thought I'd throw that out there. If it's not something the community is interested in no hard feelings. I do very well doing what I do and it's not something I need, in fact I'd have to clear my plate a little to take it on, but I have been putting some thought into getting into this crypto space since it's something I am very passionate about and know a lot about. I recently made some contacts with the developers at WPCS (btxtrader.com) and they have been considering enlisting my services in return for my being compensated in BTC.

If this is something the community would be interested I'd be happy to talk about it in more detail with someone who could authorize such an action.

To those who have bad perceptions of the recruiting industry; I agree with you. There are a lot of crappy ones out there who do nothing more than throw resumes at the wall hoping something sticks and who don't know anything more about the jobs they work on beyond knowing a few buzzwords. I am not like those recruiters. I am very knowledgeable about any position I work with and I work very hard to get it right and find the perfect win/win situation. I have a reputation to uphold and thrive on repeat business with my clients.

I don't like to put my recommendations on my linkedin profile (because my competitors will know that company uses recruiters) but I do have one up there from the HR Manager at Nation Pizza Products in Schaumburg, IL that says:

Brian has presented excellent candidates over the years for '"tough to fill positions". He's always extremely professional, honest, and trustworthy.
October 27, 2012, Lori was Brian's client

I'm also a 6 year veteran of reddit and go by the same username there as I do here. Just in case anyone wants to look into my history to make sure I'm legit. I generally keep these two lives separate so pardon any non-businesslike discussions I might have gotten into on reddit over the years.

That is all. Just thought I'd throw it out there. Could be fun and it could be successful.

antanst that is fantastic! Candlestick charts in the AE (coming soon) for all assets!

Quoting bitcoinpaul, "What about individual profiles to see an overview, summarizes, nice graphics and stats about AE regarding one Nxt account? Would be the to-go place for traders to keep track of activities.

Somebody should do this immediately!"

antanst, These features are next on your todo list, correct?

Correct.

I've released a early preview of the service we've been building the last weeks.

The preview is on TESTNET only, so all data you see apart from market overview are from the TESTNET. It might prove useful to those testing the network.

The full version that runs on the main network will be released in a few days, barring bugs/issues.

In the meantime, you'll find the following:

* Live market data with candlesticks, averaged global NXT/USD/EUR price and live calculator.

TESTNET only:

* Advanced block explorer (including messages, aliases, assets)
* Distribution charts
* Charts and more charts.

All data are always up-to-date to the latest block.

http://testnet.nextblocks.info

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Coming soon: Asset-specific candlesticks and market data, and trustless wallet service a-la blockchain.info.

+1

On the (huge) TODO list :-) AE can have so many features, it is a category on it's own.

EDIT: If a company wants to sell stock (assets) created in the AE, then issue more stock (assets) later, and then again, and again, they can as long as the company is transparent about their actions. Then the market can decide whether the dilution in ownership is worth the potential upside the company may have from deploying the funds acquired through additional asset issuance. That example is a little like "fractional reserve" but the investors have a choice and full knowledge available to them so they can participate after completing due diligence.

I think the AE is designed so that you CAN NOT issue more under the same asset name. You could of course issue fractional shares as a separate asset, like Widget B shares, tradable for 100/1 of Widget A shares

But then so could a scammer...

Emule is OUR troll. He is a part of the NXT odyssey !!! In the history books about the begin, there were BCNext (Zeus) and all other gods. Emule is Loki.

Come on, without Emule the huge NXTtalk of 2400 pages is not the same. I like when he write, it's like a little bird in my grey life.

Emule is great. But he is not Loki smart. And THAT is a shame!

"I don't know if its fair for one member of the community to speak on what the rest approve of or not. You might think some are against "The Fed" but the AE will open up huge numbers for growth, arbitrage, and the invisible hand of the market.
A stable benevolent CB or more, could help with flow and balance.
We are "trusting no one" but we are setting ourselves up like lambs for the wolves"

As far as speaking for the community what the rest approve of or not; I am a public representative of Nxt. What I say in public and in front of potential investors has the real potential to attract investment and new users of NXT.

Can you sell the same house twice? Can you sell the same fluffy cat twice? Can you sell the same bar of silver twice? No? That is what I refer to when I state that the Nxt community does not generally approve of fractional reserve banking.

Why trust a Central Bank when the free market can determine the real price and the real reputations of market participants?
Keynesian philosophies are hard to break.

So we're not even talking about the same thing. I'm not talking about complex derivatives. I'm talking about trust and belief in growth.

If you TRUST the CB, in the same way you trust Anon, or plan on trusting James with his gateways, why would you not trust someone who holds NXT in reserve?
I'm not talking about selling the same house sold twice, I'm talking about a gentle whale supporting the AE with a stable core asset.

1M in the "bank" linked to 100NXT "bonds" Gold Bar style. Paying out 2% interest, with efforts in place to control that the price of NXT goes in that direction.

That is actually a great story. Wink

If BTT ever will die for whatever reason, after 500 years, people will tell stories about the creation of NXT. Myths and tales will be created on the basis of rumors. Cheesy

well, I think pin could get 150-250k Nxt in donations for his videos (80k from unclaimed coins), but as he said with his emule account, he dumped them all: http://87.230.14.1/nxt/nxt.cgi?action=3000&acc=12088507821025750338

And deleted all videos that he got paid for:

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-krT2yl3xjKM8-ZCHkgeRw/videos (there were: NXT How to Add more peers to web.xml file | NXT Windows 7 Installer! | How to Check SHA256sum security… | NXT the matrix has you ! solution nextcoin | NXT intro: How to sent NXT Nextcoin? | NXT descendant of bitcoin Tutorial ! NEW Client 0.5.3 | How to Register Alias Tutorial | NXT java 0 pointer solved | NXT forging is NOT mining tutorial)
@Pin: ?

@d13id: For the first video+audio draft, I'm sure Joefox will help you. Sound expert and smooth voice. And we should work on the content a little more.

thank you, but this is not my initiative. just saying when they wanna do something for the community, deliver first and then ask for money not the other way around

I did my youtube channel (165 subs, 7000 views) and facebook for free, but seems that isnt good enough so I am saying to them make it happen.

Except maybe ENTER to submit. Gotta be careful that people don't press it accidentally.. I like to force the user to move the mouse and click the submit button instead.

Oh - please allow that (even if it has to be via a setting) - I *hate* using a mouse on a computer!

I am using the same FF version I mentioned in the message - I already killed the window as it was stuck for minutes.

How about Ctrl + Enter to submit?
