If anyone is bored waiting for the next post or just have some time to kill, I could do with some fact checking on the Nxt Glossary  Wink

I obviously think it is right, otherwise I wouldn't have wrote it  Grin But it needs to be checked. It stands at 63 entries now  Smiley

Joefox, VanBreuk and LiQio are the three who have sent me comments/updates so thanks to those   Wink

Nxt Glossary, part of the Nxt wiki can be found here >>>> http://wiki.nxtcrypto.org/wiki/Glossary

PM more or post your comments on my very own little used Nxt Glossary thread   Grin
>>> https://nxtforum.org/general-discussion/%28ann%29-requests-for-nxt-glossary-additions-now-being-taken/

Thanks

Potential end result...  Nxt Alias Sacrifice!!!     Cheesy

I doubt. Number of normal people is much higher than number of geeks, so unique aliases will stay longer than CIYAM wants. Smiley

Agreed. They serve the needs of people.

What r the main differences between Internet 1.0 and 2.0?

Internet 1.0 is "centralised" with a DNS system and the CA cert system and the use of "big servers" to provide "centrally controlled" applications such as say Banking, Google or Facebook.

Internet 2.0 is "decentralised" with no DNS system (the reason I don't like unique aliases) and no centralised CA cert system as well as no centralised big servers running such services.

Governments would prefer us to stick with Internet 1.0 whereas I think it will be "the people" who would prefer to use Internet 2.0 (at least eventually).

Your definitions look quite err confusing. There will always be trend towards centralization. The internet was decentralized in its beginnings.

@ CFB will you implement the AT? the bounty has been paid and I know your speed is impeccable, knowing you it will probably take you less than a week then we could test it along side the digital goods store: https://nxtforum.org/technical-development-applications/bounty-request-for-the-at-project/20/

or do we have to wait for the good captain Luc?

Vasilis is working on AT.

TwinWinNerD: you can focus on reddit tipbot. Funds for that were sent  Smiley

yeah, we reddit mods have some things planned , but we wait for the AE to launch.

We shouldn't be giving free nxt to people on BTT and sock puppets.  It's not going to do anything. They either already have nxt or will dump them if given free nxt.

We should make nxt useful for people outside crypto forums.

For example, someone is building an mobile app for encrypted messages using nxt platform. How would people using that app (but never heard of crypto) buy nxt for that app?  The app maker should sell nxt to his users with credit card or google checkout (with daily limit to reduce risk of chargebacks).

Or somthing like this

https://nxtforum.org/general/looking-to-hire-experienced-web-applications-developer-for-physical-goods-store/

There should be bounty and more interest in such projects.

they dont have to buy nxt for the app.. the messages are 100% subsidised! once a user base is established, a yearly fee will be charged..(like 50c or something) i think... i think there will be links on the app somewhere too directing to more info about nxt

Ok, that sounds like it might work after all.

Yes, one of our ideas is , that people will be rewarded for "spreading the word" about NXT and the AE launch.

While we wait for the AE to launch, can at least Wesley's client become the official NXT client, used everywhere?

How about we use 1.500.000 NXT to give each of the 3000 NEM participants 500 NXT? They are a very motivated community, and we can market it like: " Check out our working system while you wait for NEM"
Thoughts?

No.  Most Nem stakeholders have nxt accounts.

Plus too many sock puppets.

Might there be another group that might be intresting for something like this?
