Help,

I copied and pasted my coin address incorrectly.

The transaction is: http://blocks.nxtcrypto.org/nxt/nxt.cgi?action=3000&acc=413078656745476628

The correct address is: 4130786567454766284

Your Nxt is lost if you sent it to another address, what we call darknxt.  What is your actual Nxt address?

DarkNXT. Cheesy

I still have to smile on that.

I posted here a suggestion for a campaign to find wanted/needed features in NXT and to make some viral marketing!

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.5571317 (marketing thread)

what do you think about it?

People get caught up so much in the technical stuff and seem to forget what makes crypto-currency exciting, which is that it solves the problem of sending SMALL sums over the internet.

- Maybe you didn't mean it that way, but I just want to point out that we are in an early stage, also technically, so we have to talk a lot about technical stuff here
- Cryptocurrency is not only about sending small sums over the internet Shocked

Put DOGE on the decentralised exchange and everybody will here about NXT.

The more I think about it, the more I find this idea insanely ingenious!

This should be the very first asset on NXT AE. Cheesy

With James DAC, and AE, we can have Doge users trade directly with Nxt.

Cheesy Yes. But it does not matter. DOGE is everywhere!

yes, but we need to find a very useful/needed use case for average people to use AE. And it must be a very specific use case, not only some theoretical examples. The average people doesn't care that it could sell its stocks using AE if it would be a company.

We should also think about sales of things with very low prices. For example there must be a lot of amateur musicians, programmers and writers who have no easy way to monetize their work. We could provide them with a way to sell digital content for NXT.  This could also work outside the asset exchange as proposed by BCNext. I wrote about this in my previous post.

I'm glad to see people starting to talk about the things that are important to average, real-world people. People get caught up so much in the technical stuff and seem to forget what makes crypto-currency exciting, which is that it solves the problem of sending SMALL sums over the internet.

For large sums, most will stick with credit cards and the protections inherent there. Bitcoin/Crypto solves the problem of how to send someone a nickel, a quarter, a dollar, etc via the internet.  Whoever masters this domain masters all the rest.

And YES, the DOGE community needs to be courted.

Find a solution for SR users and you will see Nxt gain 10x value.

Isn't this NXTcash ?;P

Bitcoinpaul asked me an interesting question about how I answered an audience's question at the 2014 Texas Bitcoin Conference:

The guy asked: "Whats the difference between Nxt and Bitcoin and how does it work?"
And your answer was something like "It's built from scratch". This was more an answer to the question "What is the difference between bitcoin and all the other crap altcoins".

Shouldn't be the answer more of what Nxt is capable of and where the trade offs are with Bitcoin (Asset Exchange, energy efficient, 51% attack, 1000tps, ...)?

From a sales/marketing perspective, I like to avoid discussing technical issues of NXT because:

1) I'm not technical.
2) Nothing kills adoption faster then confusion.  A confused mind can not make a decision and alienates people and causes distrust.  When I speak in front of a crowd, my goal is  to get the audience to "trust" me first. Once they trust me, then I can say what I want.  I have those videos coming up...
3) I personally try to avoid talking shit about other crap altcoins because a) I don't know about them, b) talking crap about other coins tends to direct the audience's focus and attention on the wrong coins... :-)

This is my first conference... my presentations will get better as I get a better understanding of the audience.

It will get better :-)

Well, the guy seemed to be interested in Nxt and the answer was a little boring and, in the light of the recent discussion, not compelling. Maybe dive into AE and other technical things and ask question here. Then you can talk about the interesting stuff, if someone asks. Nobody cares about "written from scratch".

I don't want you to talk shit about other alt coins either. This would just look premature and like you were not convinced of Nxt.

Don't get demotivated by my critic please. I really liked your appearance. Just a little tweak on content.

Maybe we should make one good presentation that we can use everywhere.

Personally I hate Powerpoint with those boring bulletins with large text.

We can make something nice with Prezi or something. And then share it.

Does anyone know when leasing effectiveBalance will go live?  and when it does, does the network determine how to split proceeds?  if it does, I guess it just distributes it back to the balance that the effectiveBalance came from?

Leasing effectiveBalance? Long way to go, man.
