"Selfish miners (those who mine only to earn fees) should be "removed" from the system"

How?

I like BCNexts ideas and am very curious how they will work out. Especially how "real coins" are created on top of Nxt.

Not sure it's nice for those who expect to become rich and buy an island... The 1st red flag was when BCNext said that "world with money can't be perfect". Now he says that nxts r not money. I like these ideas but most of the community don't, IMO.

Edit: Well, we have an option not to follow his plan...

So what now? Panic sell? Because NXT will not be worth 1$ anymore? =)

Why not?

The concept is what I find amazing....this "thing" is looking more & more like a social engineering experiment as time goes by.

EDIT: I'm afraid to see the 3rd part of BCNext's Plan.... Wink

Advocating paragraph: "Transparency extended to absolute leads to inability to cheat thus removing necessity to think if someone should trust another one.", I think you should add the option to cancel a transaction, "even at the cost of losing the fee!"

People, wake up! jl777 is exactly the kind of guy Nxt needs to go beyond what it is now. We need thinkers and visionary.

I don't think that anyone here has a problem with his ideas - the frustration that myself and some others have had has been in communicating with James about just "how" to do things (rather than "why" do them).

I have a great idea!

They could do a button or API function to cancel a transfer before the 800 confirmations (half the 1440 maturity)??
this could be very useful in cases of hacking of accounts or simply because the user has repented.

I think it's very possible, you just have to create the function.

Please! would be a great feature!

Regards! Smiley

I think this is bad. Later, by sending transaction to the next forging trusted node, you want instant transactions. This wouldn't be possible with your idea, would it?
Forging is not instantaneous, 1440 requires confirmation.
So if the transaction is canceled before the 1440 confirmations, forging could too.
800 confirmations although I think it would be more convenient.

NOW, signing is actually:
v * temp, where temp is related ONLY to PUBLIC key. (v is dependent ONLY on the data)
...
(whatever old one leaks is up to you, I know it doesn't, cause it's NOT related directly to private key)
Ok, I thought it was private key in some form.

I noticed that the client won't run correctly if your system-time is not perfectly synchronised.

Also the system-time seems to desynchronise on Windows when using memory intensive application.

I recommend using nistime-32bit.exe for Windows to synchronise correctly and regularly.
