The NXT price is 50% more than a month ago. I do not think it has died. It will very alive. Like Monero or Ethereum.

dont people still launch crypto IPO on NXT?

Yes, regularly - but, as lots of folks have found out, no-one has to buy any. These days, you have to not only be seen as trustworthy but you also have to have a "sexy" project; else, your ICO will (largely) fail.

BTS is on to something...  Merging the order books of small exchanges into one large liquid distributed exchange is a really novel idea.  It's a bummer the idea didn't fly...  I hope it does in the future.

Could be that the earlier hype & excitement pushed its price up much higher than its tech & market demand rates at this point. (An earlier poster made the same point.) If so, then the current tail-burning slide is the market's fumbling way of reaching BTS's sans-hysteria market value.

Absolutely not! I am in no way connected to Tennessee. And I am in no way connected to NXT foundation, developers, forum, or any other NXT group.

I am 100% a lonewolf. I have never posted at NXT forum. I do enjoy the gratefuldead song Tennessee Jed. I am near the Bay Area, so am a USA citizen, And of course I toke everyday!

And

NXT is DEAD!

Is this part of the Tennessee "marketing" campaign?  Serious question.

Seeing as how it is written in shitty Java, is anyone at all surprised?

Java isnt shitty, rather its the programmer who does not know how to use java properly

If BTC can be traded on many exchanges, would that be more secure than one big exchange? If the big one is in trouble, you can still trade in other exchanges.

Oh come on, they intentionally set the whole thing up so it will always be controlled by a select few individuals.  How is that decentralized?  How is that even a cryptocurrency?

DPOS is somewhat of an ok compromise, although I agree with you that decentralized is better, I don't hate their solution...  Not really.

But the merging of small exchanges order books into one big one is really cool.

Agree with NXT comment.  But I disagreemthat BTS and ETH are scams.  One could argue that they are more legit than NXT.  But all 3 are not scams.  But people in their community are allegedly corrupt taking advantage of its members.

I completely agree with you.

NXT simply appears to have gone from a very well intentioned movement into a more centralized penny stock.

ETH, BTS, NXT don't appear to be scams, but rather different approaches to utility unique to cryptocurrency.  I just don't see much value in NXT as a speculator at the moment.  The same doesn't seem to apply as fully to ETH and BTS, but BTS is on a large nosedive.  My guess is that is due to the large speculator investments prior to BTS 2.0 launching.

I'm not saying any of them are good or bad, but as an investor I'd be careful considering NXT currently.  It just seems to be in a consistent drop for nearly 2 years.  While ETH is too young to tell it has much more backing by large groups.  BTS scares me, but I openly admit I do trade only BTS actively at the moment and not ETH or NXT.  I used to touch NXT, but now I wouldn't touch it with a 39 and 1 half foot pole.  (Merry Christmas, that's a Grinch reference.)

FUD

nxt is fine and has the more active asset trade platform
but suffers from being the 3rd rate 'scam' in its sector .... ETH and BTS are the much better scams Wink

in the asset platform sector ... Qora and Crypti might be dead (at least to being serious contenders) and yet could be fine POS products with assets for added value.

Is it dead again? DecentralizeEconomics is right, despite the somewhat misleading subject this is actually looks like a marketing topic Smiley.

think so too ... but giv'm a bump

After a while in crypto, I learnt that no coin is officially dead until it leaves all the exchanges. A big pump will attract people to buy the coin and the coin is alive again.

NXT is still being traded. The market cap is about $6 million. Why do some people claim it is dead? Any reasons?
