NXT is still being traded. The market cap is about $6 million. Why do some people claim it is dead? Any reasons?

NXT is being developed actively. It will not die soon. Whey are there some haters of NXT? Are they burned by NXT?

Is this part of the Tennessee "marketing" campaign?  Serious question.

Absolutely not! I am in no way connected to Tennessee. And I am in no way connected to NXT foundation, developers, forum, or any other NXT group.

I am 100% a lonewolf. I have never posted at NXT forum.

It sounds like you're probably a private contractor for Tennessee.

"NXT is dead!  Do not invest in anything (except Bitcoin) for a while....do lots of research first.

Don't want to scare you off, but crypto is still the Wild West, and there are some bad guys around. You have to protect yourself. No-one else will. Cool

Bitcoin is still the gateway into crypto,  and a fairly reliable short term investment. I'm giving unbiased advice there, to take some time to do research."

Words can be used to talk, but also to sing, shout, coerce. They can be used to state facts, lie, hurt and joke. If we had just stuck to what it says on the tin, we'd not have come very far as a species.

The same goes for NXT: it has many applications, as a business tool for keeping records or verifying trade documents, but also as a hundred other uses based on the exchange of things between people! Gazing blindly at just a few use cases that will grow stale with time will not help.

Good article bas! Language can limit creativity, especially with 'tools' like technology. If the name implies a use then it can limit what people consider using it for. A screw driver can do a lot more than drive screws!

Eventually NXT will bloom, it's just too damn  impressive not too.

Seeing as how it is written in shitty Java, is anyone at all surprised?
Nope.

But there could have been a second implementation using classical programing languages. Personally, I would have no issues trusting a java wallet up to a hundred bucks.

And

NXT is a decentralised financial platform that has built beyond the simple functions of the first generation pioneer systems using blockchain technology: crypto-currencies such as Bitcoin, Dogecoin, Litecoin etc. These early systems allowed the creation, storage and transfer of simple tokens, while NXT has built an entire toolkit allowing complex financial systems to be implemented on the NXT blockchain.

NXT’s applications go beyond internet cash payments, including the ability to create, transfer and trade user-created tokens (Assets/Colored Coins) to use in specific applications. Messaging, data transfer/storage, account authentication are also all built in to the NXT core, as well as a decentralised exchange that could even allow currencies such as the Euro, Yuan and dollar can be traded on it. NXT provides businesses with a modular toolkit, enabling projects to create products for consumers, bringing them into the electronic cash payment space.

Right now, there are over 600 nodes running NXT all over the world. The network is secure and has been running since Q4 2013. In that time, it has seen numerous innovations, like the Asset Exchange, which easily dominates other platforms like Counterparty or Omni when it comes to sheer ease of use.

With over two years of development behind it, NXT is a solid choice when you want to work with blockchain solutions right now.
