You can buy my products!  Grin

NXT-PHHN-29YU-9JER-22222

I guess there will be some initiative with a website with products that are added. Maybe on the Nxt blockchain websites too?

For this time, here are some: https://nxtforum.org/marketplace/

NXT = MySpace

Qora = Facebook

Keep adding junk add ons to junk, the price will still fall.

Qora has been going down and down and there is nothing to show that it will amount to anything. You seriously comparing to to Facebook Shocked

His messages are so hilarious that I am starting to wonder if he's a plant from Ora to defame Qora   Cheesy

If Qora keeps on being an annoyance some NXT whale will just buy it all up with pocket change and crash it down to $0.   Cheesy

Is this going to be like ebay for digital stuff?

We've heard of people planning to sell MoneyPak's or Vanilla Reloads for example, so you can buy Nxt with Fiat direct.  I think your reputation depends on what you can sell, some people will definitely be selling physical items.

I am interested how this would affect the price of NXTs.

Decentralized eBay and Amazon if you will.

It actually was supposed to be used for selling digital goods but nobody knows what people will use it for.

I think we will have a familiarization period (maybe half a year) and then people start raising issues here and there. Hence there will be an update to remedy them. It will be the same as with Asset Exchange of which we will have a version 2.0. So feel free, to give it a try and provide feedback.

I doubt they can do much about it if it's hosted in Denmark, Slovakia or some Eastern European country.  The only reason the Silkroad was shut down was because it was located in the United States which made it incredibly easy for the authorities to get hold of them.    The same thing happened with Napster.

Actually the biggest downside I can see to the DGS is that it might place downward pressure on NXT's price.  There's a lot of NXT whales, who can't pull their wallets without crashing the value of NXT, and yet are paper millionaires who want goods & services.

Much like I feel the Silkroad, although it brought some publicity to Bitcoin, may had been the reason why Bitcoin had no value for a long time.  If you have whales fireselling BTC to acquire drugs and guns then it lessens the value.  We are seeing a similar trend where mass merchant adoption of BTC only seems to be bringing down prices (due to merchants, seconds after getting their BTC, are fireselling for $Fiat as they have business expenses and employees to pay and most businesses take less than 10% in revenue as net profit.  Merchants are dumping 90%+ of the BTC they are receiving).

I can see how the price will drop, but to me that is a natural part of the cycle.  For crypto to be a real currency, it needs to be alive, being spent, traded, bought, and sold.  I'm guessing that eventually in the end that a balance will be instituted.

There will be a downwards pressure on NXT through buyers, but the media attention might be able to offset it. We will see what the net-effect will be.

some people will definitely be selling physical items.

Digital Goods Store, or Physical Naughties Store... you decide!

Will there be rules on what you can sell like on ebay, or no rules like the silk road?

No rules like Silk Road.  It's decentralized, so there is no one to tell you what you can or can't sell, and no fees.  Of course if you sell child porn on there, I will personally hunt you down and kill you.

I doubt the authorities will be too happy about it if it turns into another silk road.
