Koop, the easiest, simplest way to get rid of sockpuppets is to look at people who created an account and then proceeded to post here and in the investors list and never posted again. There are a whole bunch of people like that and while it won't get rid of all of them, it will certainly get rid of a large percentage of them while protecting all the legitimate newcomers.
Some of the sockpuppets are so obvious that you can even see the similarities in the user names (someone posted a list of some of the suspicious ones).
I think that's the easiest way without having to put in a major effort such as what NEM did with taint analysis, etc. Personally, I'd rather have you guys working on getting the client launched as opposed to a sockpuppet witch hunt
But will taint analysis help if they send fee from exchages?
First of all I'd set a rule restricted payment from any exchanges. Only from personal wallet. In this case taint analysis should help if someone send money through mixers.

I dont know how we can make this, but when you know how, than i would ban the persons first account and all his sucketpuppets.
I would write this on the first page with big red letter that you ban all persons with sucketpuppets.
When a person write now of himself that he make xx sucketpuppets than he can keep his first stack and only his sucketpuppets will be ban.
