I am having an animated version of NYC created and will post for review by all next few days. I hope we will all agree to use the ORIGINAL NewYorkCoin for all major branding, wallets, exchanges, memorabilia, etc. The animated version should compliment existing, not replace it. Does the community agree?
We can't debate much about a working explorer, wallets that sync quickly and send/receive without delay or error, stats or history of NYC, so let's have a little fun with the logo...

Wow, I'm really glad to see NYC is still alive. I am one of the original miners for NewYorkCoin (scryptenthusiast and one other handle). I used my limited computer skills to revive NYC when original (and only true developer NewYorkCoin has ever had) jumped ship at/before launch and was never reachable. Dead links on website, etc. I started NewYorkCo.in website, paid to get block explorer working (Spaincoin Dev, Alonso??), paid to get working wallets, github, reddit, etc. NYC was trading on bleutrade and another lower end alt-coin exchange on a daily basis. We even got 3rd-4th highest votes at Coinpayments for new coin to add but did not get accepted because of our low trading/exchange volume.
Then it just kind of fizzled out. I have a family and had other obligations.
That's the story of NewYorkCoin - down but not out!
If we can gather enough people that have the time needed to get a community started (off bitcointalk) and active exchanges going for NewYorkCoin again - I will definitely help a community effort.

I'm working on the website, and avatar changes as we speak, if you guys approve, and I say we take a vote, anyone with a great idea for a coin design feel welcome to post. I will post mine, maybe several, to the vote. Then the developer, can implement the new graphics into the wallet, coin...etc....after the vote.
We should have this up and going in No time flat. Gonna work hard at it, if I can get the same support, if I see little support then can't waste too much time on this project, have a family to support.
Website should be up in just a day or so, and I hope the guy who bought the domains will point them at the site.
