Afaik there will be more nodes once the wallet is widely used.
I've finally managed to sync the wallet. Now time to generate some blocks...hopefully but i think it's almost impossible with the current instable network and only 1 node

If it's mining like crazy: Well done you've created your own chain. Didn't wait for the wallet to sync before you've set the setgenerate did you Wink

i also made a obsidian.conf and also put them in the wallet manuely but still no connections so we need some more working nodes.

Thanks Andro Hac, but unfortunately the connection isn't very stable is it?
It keeps disconnecting from the network ( but hey that is why it's BETA Wink)
Yes mine is oscillating between 0 and 1 connections. How to find more nodes?

I downloaded the wallet from the email I received, I unzip it and try to run the obsidiand executable. I get the error message:

./obsidiand: error while loading shared libraries: libsodium.so.18: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

So what am I supposed to do to install this on ubuntu?

edit: and what is the difference between the obsidiand and obsidian-Qt?

Just installed the Windows wallet. But....:
0 active connections to network. And yes, just mined 4 ODN too but it will never get mature this way so in reality it just mined nothing. It will be rejected once the network is reachable.

Hello everyone. It's time to test out our wallet https://github.com/obsidianproject/Obsidian-Qt/releases

The Obsidian blockchain supports mining up to block 12500. Testers, you can now go and mine yourselves some coins. Mining is required at the start, so that the blockchain doesn't get stuck when no amount is available for staking. The mining reward is 4 ODN per block.

This also means that you can send minimal amounts of money around to each other, which will be a great way to test.

Download from out GitHub repository https://github.com/obsidianproject/Obsidian-Qt/releases

So, start mining by entering the following in the debug console:

setgenerate true

This will be less rewarding than staking, however both run simultaneously.
Please post your feedback in GitHub on the issues tab https://github.com/obsidianproject/Obsidian-Qt/issues or here if you are not on GitHub please post in our Slack group.

So is this a testnet, or the mainnet?

This is in fact mainnet!
