I backed up, but then just installed new version over old one, didn't restore or anything.

Two of us in #byteball on freenode, btw, for others who don't slack.

installing new wallet should keep the existing addresses. I just did an upgrade from 0.7 to 1.0, there's no problem at all, everything is working fine.

Seed is not enough as there are private assets (blackbyteballs) will not be covered. You must follow the backup process to back up the whole data folder, many posts gave the details, just do a search.

this will mess nothing..i already uprgrade and i keep my link with bot and my adresses..but do a save before this is will more safe.

upgrade yur wallet..if yu havent remove ur wallet after linking..there should be no problem..chat witj bot and ~~exe cmd "sold" in chat box~~(this does work no more)..to see yur balance.

It does seem strange, maybe the functionality is just not there yet. Perhaps in the future you will be able to restore from seed.
