It's correct @tony ?..because you said 62,5mo value 1 btc..so if claiming exceed BBs montant yu cant be able perform this conversion..or this conversion applies at tota number l of BBs ?

In the next round, 62.5 Megabytes (as in bytes, the currency of byteball) will be considered as a proportion of 1 BTC. Let's assume you get 62.5 Megabytes in the first round, so this is equivalent to linking an address with 1 BTC. Let's assume that the total linked in the second round is equivalent to 10000 BTC then you'll get 1/10000 = 0.01% of the distributed bytes (and blackbytes), that is 0.01% of the 20% distributed in the second round for instance. What you get is a percentage of the distributed amount, it is impossible to claim more than what is available.

.1 BTC Bounty for someone to write up a tutorial on linking Trezor or Ledger wallet to Byteball account via signing a message. This should include details on what needs to be done with full balance (do we need to send it to one address within wallet) before signing message. Thanks.
Here you go Smiley

Great work, and nice and fair way of distributions. The witness seem can be potentially a problem. I like DAG instead of fixed time blocks, DAGs are more flexible to handle huge amount of data.

not sure if this got asked.
If i get airdropped on for linking a btc address and i sell all my bytes, but never move my btc, do i get airdropped on for the following rounds? all i saw is that its weighted differently but didnt see if theres a penalty for not hodling.

i think not because airdrop must be proved like yur btc for next round..sorry if i'm not allright dev will correct me.

No, Tony said that the linked bitcoins stay linked for the following rounds (if you don't move them).

Did the signature campaign end?

Not yet, there is still 1 week left for the signature campaign. And it seems the promotion of byteball through signature campaign is an effective way of advertising throughout the whole forum and now it is close for its success.

I found Thread.
Thank you

b.  By signing a message (if your Bitcoin wallet supports this function).  You tell the bot your Bitcoin address and sign your Byteball address with the Bitcoin address.  After you prove one address (a typical Bitcoin wallet has dozens of them), you can either move all your coins to this single proven address or prove all other addresses in the same way -- by signing a message.

I can sign a message and send to bot, but question is: (1) what message I should sign? any message? (2) what's the format I should send message and signed message to bot, so it can verify? and how do I send them? Can you give the steps in details?

1) Your Byteball address
2) Just copy/paste the signature from your Bitcoin wallet.

Don't worry if you do anything wrong, the bot won't be angry at you and will try to give you instructions.

lol, nice comments, thanks. Will try it and hope everything is fine Smiley

Hi guys, need some help. I've been gone for a while. I have the first testnet wallet .02. It says I have 78k byteballs. I just download both 0.7.0 and 0.7.1. Do I transfer those byteballs or are they worthless?

No need to transfer, byteballs from testnet are worthless. While byteballs from the live network are the real deal.

The bot doesn't seem to work, it's not asking me anything.  Undecided
