Do we need to have x86 or x64 to run BYTEBALL? (windows)
system? processor?

Now it works!  Shocked

I've tested to link one bitcoin address. After this tx got a confirmation, the bot showed me my current linked bitcoin balance and my linked address. After that, I've moved my whole bitcoin balance to this address. My wallet (mycelium android app) gave me a warning about sending to one of my own addresses, but this is OK and can be ignored. Funny thing is that the tx value shown in the mycelium wallet isn't correct, it's only the miner fee! After this tx got a confirmation, I've chatted again with the bot and he updated my bitcoin balance correctly. Thumbs up for this!  Grin

Thanks for helping to fix a bug Smiley

Now I will do the same with signing a message. I guess I have to install another Byteball TN wallet on another system for this?

Actually, you can use the same wallet.  Just send your bitcoin address, the chatbot will recognize it.  You can prove multiple addresses and use any combination of the two methods to prove them -- micropayment and signing a message.

Do we need to send bitcoin to an address chosen by byteball wallet? are we the sole owner of the private key of our address?
You send a micropayment to our address the chatbot tells you, then you send your bitcoin to one of your addresses that the chatbot sees.
Yes, you should be the sole owner of your address.

What gives this coin value beside bitcoin? what does it do if someone wants to know when should they go and try to buy or earn byteball when they are in need of something, what could be that thing?

When I want to buy a sandwich I'll go fast food, what am I going to get when I come to byteball?

Are you asking about byteball (the network) or bytes (the currency)?

If you are asking about the network, it enables currencies (AKA assets) that can represent debt, shares, property, etc.  They can have any properties the issuer wants, from complete privacy of transactions to regulatory compliance (you already know that from your signature Smiley), you would buy one asset when you need to invest in a bond, another asset when you want to own shares, etc.

If you are asking about bytes, yvv already said that you need bytes to pay for using the network.  Every time you move other assets, you pay fees in bytes.

That said, you can buy pizza for bytes https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.16330266

As we all know bitcoin is much easier when you want to explain the purpose of using it.

How would you do it?

No you misunderstood me, I am asking what should I tell my friend or one of my family members without any prior knowledge about crypto what so ever when I want to introduce byteball to them?

You tell them exactly what I said. Always tell people truth.

I've just tried the ByteballTN app on my android and was instructed to send out 0.000613 BTC.
I did this with the mycelium testnet app. After I've sent the exact amount, I now get this message in the Byteball app:
Quote
I received 0.000613 BTC from n2kF....., expected 0.000613 BTC. Please send exactly the requested amount (if it was you).

Transaction: https://live.blockcypher.com/btc-testnet/address/mxuMqw1Qgi8oYWvAbmQUbHVMHiq5RR1cWb/
I've done it again, no change.

It was inaccurate comparison of numbers, I think I fixed it now, please try again.

The bot isn't answering me. Normally I input a "Hi" and then it answers back. Seems to be dead, you've killed it  Cheesy

Restarted Smiley

Why we use two set of currency, why not use one and when the user send fund around he can choose if he wants the transaction be private or not?

If it were allowed, a single user who wants to remove privacy would also reveal all previous owners of the coin.

A question: this system requires 12 witness, the 12 is randomly chosen right? I can be 120 if needed?

It is one of protocol constants https://github.com/byteball/byteballcore/blob/master/constants.js.
You can choose another number but that'll be another network.

It took me 12+ hours to sync the wallet... given that this is only testnet now, I think it will have serious performance issue later on, when we go alive.

We are currently working on improving sync speed.

Also, when link BTC address, my BTC wallet has several addresses, do I need to link all of them? or do I have to transfer BTC to one single address in my wallet?

Both options are available https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.16837694

Also what's the diff between blackbytes and bytes?

I guess the number of witness nodes can be set by one of the parameters in the code... I may missed something, can you clarify dev?

Is it possible to create several Byteball addresses in one wallet. I think it would be saver to not put all eggs in one basket by linking to only one address. What do you think?
You have several addresses per wallet, but only one is linked.  There is no point linking several because the wallet (not the address) is the basket.
