It is likely that DAG should pass the test of time.
With all the obvious advantages, only time can reveal shortcomings.
So we hope and believe  Cheesy

In fact DAG solution is  taking baby steps to going mainstream. Masses  are actually studying cryptocurrencies  and exploring ways to use them. As it turns out, blockchain is on everybody's A-list while DAG-based coins remain exotic.
Someday, DAG solution will be used widely in blockchain-based network, I strongly believe it will happen.
DAG might become a game-changing factor in crypto ecosystem, which can help to save more energy, contribute mantaining green planet, and smarter approach for blockchain-based services.

hey guys, been with byteball ever since 1st distribution. I am just wondering how Byteball is not really in peoples minds when thinking about a DAG solution. Especially since you guys were pretty much first mover in the market. It's really a pity. Any update on BizDev and Marketing side of the project?

The quote seems to contain a suspicious link, I'm reporting it, please report as well. (I will delete this post once the post with the link is removed by a moderator.)

Strange, I can’t find any suspicious link in the quoted post.  Huh

Indeed, it's no longer pointing to mega.nz ... My assumption is the post was edited after my post. There doesn't seem to be a way to verify that though ... Well all's well that ends well.

Thanks for watching out!

Let's just hope the account will be ban for his doings. With bitcointalk updating some security features, the user must be ban after taking several reports.

Hello, I need to send some blackbytes but I'm out of byte ball.

Anyone willing to send me a really small amount just to be able to pay for the blackbyte transaction fee?

That would be really appreciated Smiley

Sure, give me your address.

This is part of version 2.3 released today https://github.com/byteball/byteball/releases

* Blackbytes and other private assets can now be sent as textcoins.  Private textcoins are files with .coin suffix, they can be sent over email, chat apps, or using a USB stick.  The file contains the mnemonic, which allows to derive the private key, and private payloads together with their entire history, this is exactly the history which is *not* posted to the public DAG.  Double-clicking the .coin file opens the app and starts claiming the textcoin (it can take a while as a long history needs to be validated), the file can be also drag-n-dropped to the app.
* Ability to sign arbitrary message to prove one's address.  The signer doesn't need to have any bytes.  The text to be signed is offered in chat, the signer clicks it and signs.
* Ability to spend unconfirmed funds.  It will be enabled in the validating code at MCI 2909000 but standard wallets will not be able to select unconfirmed coins as inputs until the next update.  Developer projects such as BIoT (which uses payment channels for streaming payments between IoT devices) can immediately take advantage of this update.  It is a breaking change, all full nodes will have to upgrade.
* Extensions of smart contract language. It is a breaking change, all full nodes will have to upgrade.
* Fixes in determining finality of transactions.  It is a breaking change, all full nodes will have to upgrade.
* Fixes in multi-send feature on non-US locale.
* Fixed the display of confirmation message when posting data (data feeds, attestations, etc) from a multi-sig wallet.  Now the message includes the data being posted.
* Multiple small bugfixes

This is a mandatory update for all full nodes (both GUI and headless).

Wish byteball would have ICO, As ICO owners are always the most winners because coins are cheaper before they go to the market and they also give a bonus. and when coins rise most, it is time to first go to the market. the best ICOs are ICOs created by whale groups.

Byteball is already trading on a lot of exchanges. It is too late to wish for an ICO.  Grin
That said, the airdrop in the initial days is one main reason why Byteball attracted a lot of hype and new users.

Could we do something against spammers like above who copy-paste random sentences from telegram?  Roll Eyes
Yes, even you can do something about it. click the "Report to moderator" link in the bottom-right of each spam post... type in "off-topic bot spam" in the text box and click submit.

If you're really bored, go through the users post history and report all the other spam posts.

Hi. Can someone point out where are the checksum values for Byteball wallet downloads? Couldn't find them on Github.

Byteball is a great project, which is generous too.
It is due to its massive campaigns to distribute coins to community over long history of Byteball project.
And, tonych said there will have more campaigns in the future.
Transaction speed is very fast, very easy to make transaction, even without wallet.
