Not your keys, not your coins!
Oh, I lost my chance to get money from Byteball quizzes.
I was a little bit busy (heavy loads of works in my office), so I don't have spare time to join your quizze.
However, I highly appreciate your works to control cheaters, who simply tried to join quizz and get money. They should not do that.
About 500 users have passed the quiz since launch (despite frequent offs due to bugs, running out of money, running out of daily quota, etc) but I observe some share of fraud too.  It is not very large but concerning.  To reduce the incentive for fraud, the reward will now be reduced to $2.50.
thanks for sharing me link to get basic information about Byteball and its main currency on wiki.byteball website.
It helps me a lot.
Bytes, not byteball... you could learn something from the quiz! This is one of the questions:

What’s the  main currency of Byteball?
a - Byteball
b - Byte
c - Blackbyte
d - Bitcoin

I may write code in exchange for bitcoins.
I had the BTC - Byteball exchange bot "ignore" my deposit because it was "too small".  Admittedly, it wasn't a lot, but it was in the ballpark of 20USD at the time of the deposit.  The message was just "Received your payment of 0.059 GB it is too small to be exchanged, will be ignored.".

In my opinion, this is broken behavior.  If the amount is too small to exchange, send it back after some time, don't just confiscate the money..

Is there anyone I can talk to to get my money back?

I was glad to see that whoever runs the BEEB exchange is around to take care of their customers.  Does anyone know who runs the BTC-Byteball exchange bot?  I still haven't heard anything.  It seems like whoever runs this bot just stole my 20$

This bot has a buyer beware and explicitly says not to deposit the amount you deposited. So I'd have to respectfully say that there's only one place to put the blame if you don't get refunded.

I mean, if this bot's policy is to take for itself all values under 20$, and there's a fast moving exchange rate, and i'm just hosed.  Ok, it was 20$, not my life savings, no problem.  Still, I wouldn't recommend doing business with such a person.  And I bet I'm not the only one who has had their money stolen.

Does anyone know who the dev is.  I'd like to talk to them.

Maybe what you should do is ask users to pay $8 worth of byteball to take the quiz, then if they successfully complete it you'll send them $20 worth of byteball back Tongue

Clever enough Smiley but unlike jumio there is no cost associated with running the quiz.

ByteballQuizBot is absolutely amazing! I have shared it with a few friends of mine alongside the Byteball wallet. They couldn't believe what they were witnessing (which to me seems quite easy to get).  Cheesy
Nice job tony!
I am not familiar with this, but I will give this QuizBot a try to win these quizzes and get bytes.

The actual sad part of tale is that a lot more started dropping interest in Byteball after seeing things that are happening, at this time this individuals are getting in need of selling their own Gbytes.

A sad part is that after a year beyond release byteball is still slow and centralized. But thanks to  tonych for $1000 worth of free tokens. This is not sad, I dump them with respect and best wishes Smiley

This is sad to see this original project struggling so hard. There are many investors dumping Byteball after Tony canceled airdrop. From what I see this airdrop attracted few big investors and now they are selling because they were only counting on money from airdrop and not wanted to support the project and hold for a long time. This shows that Tony decision was not bad at all I think. The main reason for airdrops is to attract new users and this could not be achieved. There are not much Byteballs left and Tony has to come up with a good strategy on how to distribute them. Still when I see Byteball price and actual community reactions I fill sad that such a great and innovative project had such a bad time.

To be honest I'm not concerned about this project atm. Yes it is struggling to moon, but mooning hasn't been core team's goal as of yet. Development is highly encouraging and a good foundation is being laid to ensure that this project has a fighting chance not only at surviving, but on boarding real users and use cases. I do agree that Tony should have signaled that the airdrop was being cancelled louder and sooner. But the arguments that support cancelling the airdrop IMO are much more compelling than the pro airdrop arguments I've seen.

But perception counts for a lot... if the GBYTE doesn't make new USD highs by the end of the next alt season or if governance or witnesses aren't distributed within a year then I'll get concerned.

Nice idea for an unobtrusive advertising that appeals to interested people.
Also there is something to learn and the usability of Byteball is well presented - well done! Smiley

I have passed the quiz. It's eye-opening  and funny. It might take out most of us at the same time. The only disapointment was from the bot final message . "There was an error while trying to send your textcoin. We'll automatically retry until the textcoin is sent."

I was participating in Byteball distribution from the very start. I'm very happy that new features were introduced into Byteball and more user friendly development is ongoing.

Can byteball offer free transaction fee for a year or two? To increase adoption. Or maybe offer it indefinitely. It works for Iota and Nano.
I know fees are very low but as a marketing campaing it is powerful to say, it is fee free.
Why not!
I don't think it's possible, and the reason is spam.
To be quite honest, I don't understand how Iota and Nano will manage to avoid that kind of practice, but if it is a plausible solution, I see no reason why we could not discuss it here.

you surprise us with every new update.
On a slightly different note I wanted to share that an increasing number of merchants are supporting Byteball in Milan. There was a Byteball meetup a few days ago. Things are moving in the right direction!
Byteball project is one of the most top-notch cryptocurrencies which can change the crypto-ecosystem and contribute to save our planet due to its sustainable algorithm. No mining, no heat lost during mining process, and no carbon emissions. It is also one of the most green-cryptocurrencies in crypto history.
Currently, Byteball has several potential sub-projects under-developed by their team.
