Practising Hebrew before visiting Israel
Can the national IDs without latin characters be verified?
No, Latin characters are required

Or can I get verified with my passport?
Yes. See the steps here.

This is a very excellent idea for better distribution. I hope it was initiated by the dev team itself so that the distribution goes further than BTC holders.

this was probably asked already but i couldn't find it...
if i have already participated in the last airdrop in november, do i have to register that btc address again with the chat bot before the next airdrop in march or does the same address participate automatically again?

To bad to hear so many people are having trouble verifying. I wonder how much of that is users not doing things properly (e.g. using a low res camera) and how much of that is needing a better how to (e.g. stressing the importance of using a good camera and good lighting conditions). However, as an ICT-professional i know that improving instructions only helps so much, many people can't do slightly complicated tasks no matter how good the explenation is....

I've had three experiences with verification, me and a buddy of mine verified in less then ten minutes, another failed because he was using a low-res laptop webcam.

As I've said before, I've helped verified 3 people using their passports and I've had no problems. And I've also helped (try to) verify other 2 persons using their national IDs on high-end Android devices, with Latin characters, with no glare, proper focus,  and the process failed both times.

I really think national IDs from a lot of countries (maybe most countries) are not supported. I'd like to know which ones exactly. That information should be posted.

Who here has been successfully verified with a national ID or driving license? From what countries?

these guys even cannot issue a new one for textcoin which costs less than few cents.

You can reuse the same Byteball address and the textcoin string do not change. Just refill the byteball address and the textcoin can be claimed again.

I post a textcoin of 1,000,000 bytes per day at the same time here and in slack and in reddit. Processing this way I just have to copy/paste the same message each day (manual process...).

No scam here.

Have a nice day.

Actually, you can re-fill a used textcoin to be claimed again.

As for the verification partnership it is clear to see Tony is looking at ByteBall as a potential platform for major ICO's. Personally, I think he has been hinting at this direction for awhile now and I hope to be impressed this year

The first is by definition not flawed.
1) https://changenow.io/ Exchanges for GBYTE already supported
2) I hope that developers will improve the voting function as soon as possible and solve the community dispute issue.

Thank you. Very good find.
Message has been propagated through Slack, Telegram and will certainly see Facebook and Reddit soon.

About March and others distributions.
The main trouble is that it goes 1 day and many buy GBYTE or link BTC account for this 1 day and after sell free GBYTE they receive.
I think the system that NEO has is more fair. It distributes GAS for NEO holders every day. And you can just click on Claim button in a wallet and receive it. The more you hold, the more you get. Holding NEO for a year gives me theoretically about 6% of profit. My point is that: give more exchanges so everybody can buy, and make every day distribution for holders. And we are in top!  Roll Eyes

90% of Jumio verification attempts failed for technical reasons and Jumio gets $8 regardless according to https://www.reddit.com/r/ByteBall/comments/7sawz9/report_some_errors_during_id_verification/. Jumio partnership may have been a good idea or noble in theory but in practice it seems to be a flop. The distribution of the remaining bytes should not be in such a centralized manner with only one glitchy service receiving a significant portion of distributed bytes. And sorry but you are not going to improve Byteball's attractiveness to this market by giving away free money. You do that by marketing it to them... The second XRB stopped their captcha faucet it skyrocketed along with its user count.
Agree. My verification also failed  Angry. Tried on several iPhones and there was errors on all of them, also tried via computer and web camera but it is not high-res so there is an error again. I suppose there should be some test for checking if your camera and device is ready before you start the verification. Probably somebody could make such a service.

Agree with exchanges also. The more we have, the more users! From my experience when I decide to buy GBYTE, I spent some time to find how can I do this. After some research I understand that I had only 2 options: the one is unknown for me cryptox.pl, and Byte-BTC bot which I learn only after I installed the wallet. I finally bought it only with help of this forum, and if not this, probably I wouldn't buy it at all. If it was listed on binance, kukoin or anything else that I use, I can buy it much easier without any troubles. For newcomers it is hard and many do not reach the end like me.

Still no new exchanges?

Agree with you; we should have Poloniex, at least, and other Asian exchanges, like the ones located in Japan and South Korea.

We already have upbit in south Korea :

Devs really need to improve the image of Byteball. There's a lot of information asymmetry (for example https://www.reddit.com/r/ByteBall/comments/7sarfg/distribution_methods/). I personally thought the name was okay but most people on reddit/newbies disagree. Daily posts complaining about the name. I strongly encourage the devs to rename the platform and units. Pretty much anything nice and serious-sounding without any unrelated connotations would be good and you could do some polling.

Still no new exchanges? If you need to pay them to list GBYTE that is a much better investment of the undistributed funds than subsidies of Jumio. Look Jumio partnership is okay, but you need to halt it until they fix their technical problems and their pricing structure to only charge if the attempt failed due to a fraudulent attempt, not merely a technical fault of Jumio. And to put it bluntly a flood of verified users trying to get free money is pointless without an ecosystem of enterprises that those users would patronize and that require users to be identified by Jumio.

Edit: Added quote from baki on slack.

It is worth pondering why IOTA and Raiblocks scored much more users. They do not use propagation methods, for example, in Byteball. The best way to distribute and accept this is a large number of exchanges, as well as a demonstration of opportunities. When buying on the exchange, people get tokens expensive, and they value them more, a large number of investments attract not only speculators, but also users. Demonstration of scaling gives people to understand which crypto currency really has a future. Byteball makes two mistakes, ignores advertising and new exchanges. If your product is ready for use right now, and the number of users is small, you need advertising and simplify the method of buying crypto currency. Demonstration of scaling is part of such advertising, as it increases the confidence of users in the capabilities of crypto currency.
IOTA and Railblocks have distributed all their coins ByteBall doesn't still have 35% with the Dev,IOTA and Railblocks price is in the 1 and 2 digits Byteball price is in the 3 digits ,IOTA and Railblocks are more decentralized than Byteball at the moment, correct if i am wrong?

So what is the point of paying 8 dollars on front UNCONDITIONALY, I don't get it. We won't have too many new Byteball user. Why centralize the verification ID with "Jumio", there is https://shuftipro.com/ also.
I thought we are in a decentralice small world with a conditional payments.
Why should I loose 8 dollars if the condition of ID verification is not met. I thoght that we were in Byteball, not bitcoin.
