You are getting very close to the original concept. At some point "White snowball" rolling downhill and constantly growing was a guiding image.

There have been already many time spent and debates regarding the name, the logo, the website... you are stepping into a slow and frustrating direction.

In my frustration with the extremely divisive and damaging "name" issue, I tried to convey too many things all at once, hoping to illustrate that messaging can and does create peoples perceptions, and the same can be true for ByteBall - but I made a mistake, I rushed it - that image and the concept was way too under developed to be published at that time.

The truth is, I was really excited, because I believed I'd found a perfect symbol for ByteBall & the DAG (and still do).

It was the concept (in my mind anyways) of a "ball of bytes" speeding through cyberspace that first grabbed my attention, and the DAG growing...getting more powerful and faster over time...leaving a kind of tail of connected data... I found the image to be energizing & exciting, just like ByteBall.

So, more to the point of "Simplicity is beauty", I've tried to refine the concept a bit. (Unfortunately, my Photoshop skills are quite limited. A real graphics pro could take this concept much further than I, with font adjustments, size of the "Ball of Bytes", tail adjustments, better color grading variations etc. etc.)

I really think it's worth another look, and we simply have to get the energy up with regards to the ByteBall name. So here's my updated version:  Do you see the "Ball of Bytes" & the DAG as well?

So, what do you think? Perhaps it just doesn't resonate with anyone but me - and that's ok. It would just be nice to know.

If there is no response again (good or bad) for all that effort, I will have learned something else I need to know about this project as an actual investor. (yes, I have real money invested - no free ride for me - gives one a very different perspective - don't you think?)

Let me tell you this, if we as a community don't fix this silly name thing soon, it's gonna bite us. I don't want that to happen.

It seems to me that Tonych has no desire to change the name - and why should he, it's a great name - especially with the right graphics, messaging & marketing, and the support of the community of course. Anyone who giggles at the name is . . . well, ignorant. Why do we as a community tolerate it?

Please do your part to purge this disease from our midst so we can get on with more important things.

If you can't read those very clear information in page 1 about how the current Byteball distribution / airdrop works well you can not really blame anyone but yourself if you don't get it.
On a different note, I'm happy to see byteball is holding its ground. Good sign if you ask me 

That will not work, we all didn't get Bytes just because of BTC Balance, we had to Link our BTC-Wallet to our Byteball-Wallet, that's impossible if you had your BTC on an exchange at the time of the Airdrop. Further the drop is long ago, so I wonder why you expect to get anything.

You can't blame Bittrex in this case, it's simple your fault!

tonich, i had bitcoin in bittrex account before month of november, how could i be able to proclaim gbyte? im so mad with these shitty exchanges as they steal one in so many ways.... i almost feel theres no way to be able to prove that i had, unless you would accept to see my orders history, would that work?

Ye verily, but I'm just curious about typical tx size, as well as validation of extremely large or extremely repetitive small txs.

Consider this, iota was an ico that raised (supposedly) 1337 BTC. If byteball started to get traction, and assuming that iota still had this BTC and claimed it in initial and subsequent airdrops, would these gbytes be more valuable to them to sell on the market (probably enough to crash it several times over) or to attach their competitor with TBs of spam.

I just am wondering how an attack like this would be handled by the network and validators, since, especially at this point the network is quite centralized.

Basically Gbyte doesn't react when you think it should, it reacts on its own doing when it pleases which is hilarious . I am kind of torn on the fact that marketing isn't huge here yet that also makes me like the coin too because it means no pump and dump. What does the community think is best moving forward? More marketing or keep it as is and let people find Gbyte slowly?

well they would have to pay 1 GB fee for a 1 GB size tx, so it's unlikely to see that kind of spam. Unlike IOTA and XRB that have literally no defense against spammers. A small fee is better then no fee.

Yes, it has been discussed several times if Byteball exchange unit should be changed to MByte instead of GByte. This would make the price appear to be about $1 instead of $1000, which looks much more attractive for potential investors. I personally agree that it should be done, but some people don't... don't know if some agreement can be reached on this.

What's the typical size of a transaction (since the fee is equal to the size in bytes, right?)? I'm curious what kind of costs are incurred for typical single output tx.

Also, I assume it's possible to generate extremely large txs by creating many outputs, or many txs with one output. Does this mean that the cost to spam the network with 1 GB of data is currently ~$1k? Would validator nodes simply reject a 1 GB tx? Spammers could be banned by validator?

In the red days full of altcoin blood it looks me Byteball always holds its ground. On the other hand, when the crypto world goes green Byteball does not skyrocket. But I'm pretty confident this will change. Hold on to your bytes.

I've sent you a whopping 20,000 Bytes textcoin, should be enough for many Blackbyte-transactions.

I am also sure that IOTA compared with Byteball looks like a more profitable investment, but do not forget that this is in the future a huge market where there is a place worthy of competitors. Therefore, I would distribute my portfolio equally among these projects.
