There is a new news article about Byteball on Coinidol: https://coinidol.com/designed-to-succeed-iota-raiblocks-and-byteball/

It basically says that Byteball will soon follow the success of IOTA and Raiblocks. I personally think that Byteball is the best one of them, so it seems quite likely that it will happen. At least I don't see any reason why Raiblocks and IOTA should spike and Byteball should stay somewhere at the bottom when it has even more features.
IOTA and Railblocks have feeless transaction that’s probably why they are more attractive to some people also the price of IOTA and Railblocks is a single digit when byteball is in the three digits most people will invest in cheaper coins even though theoretically IOTA and Railblocks are not cheap and Byteball is not expensive

the second point you are making is very valid and has been covered at length.. sadly tony disagrees with the vast majority of the community so reducing unit size is not going to happen... this is how decentralised projects operate apparently...... the problem is with even the best decentralised projects (byteball is not the best in this respect at all and maybe near the bottom of the pile) but the talent and ability to make changes is  not decentralised so in theory the success of the project is still highly centralised ... I, you, and 99.99% of people on this thread have no clue how to adapt or improve the bb code so we are at the mercy of 1 person to listen to us or do the right/wrong thing.

Although to be fair iota and raiblocks devs are top tier in skill level i think tony is their equal or even better so lets hope that alone pulls bb through in the end. Right now in comparison it is by far the best deal.

I can only agree with this. For use by real people, not toasters and fridges, Byteball is definitely better than IOTA and offers much wider functionality. If IOTA and Raiblocks jumped up like crazy, Byteball will definitely follow.

Where can I find the new distribution method?
Is it out?
I can't find it in the Tony's posts.

It looks like the new one will distribute the left byte via email/textcoin?
What about the Gbyte holders?
https://byteball.org/ -> conditions and timer for next Distribution

The classical distribution to Byte and BTC holder will slowly fade out:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.24965637

The focus is shifting towards focus marketing / sponsoring:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.28047149

Textcoin will surely be an important tool for transporting Byteball into the real world.
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.27855312

Does that mean the new distribution method will switch to those responsible for marketing / sponsoring, and eventually exclude everyone else?

Nothing has been finalized yet. Tony will make an announcement soon on this.
But yes, the focus will no longer be on the airdrop because it is an expensive way to bring new users to Byteball.
And to be frank, airdropping new bytes to existing holders only brings new users in on a very limited scale. I think the recent hand-outs at large events is a way more effective way to raise awareness of the Byteball project. This project really needs organic growth in acceptance and real world applications rather than hyped up marketing and hot air.

Thank you, dude, for your reply.
I will follow this and do the research by myself.

Looks the develop direction is forward. I am confident about the success of Byteball.

I think a few more exchanges will help with adoption too, Bittrex is a good one don't get me wrong, Binance, Kucoin, ShapeShift would be great additions.

They were on Changelly but they were delisted, I see they have delisted several other coins too... So not sure what's going on with them.
i guess better get away from Changelly,i wouldn't get near Changelly or any other related companies like Nicehash,i am sure you heard about the Nicehash hack, they stupid enough not even to require Email verification for their users that make it very easy for hackers,Nicehash-Changelly a big not for me Smiley

In the last quarter so many new people in crypto space. And all those people get aware of byteball because of the free airdrop in march. More and more people will realise that the allts nonsense will not last forever and they will also start to invest some of their money in good projects. And in good projects there is not much choice. All those coins have only promises, byteball have working products. More and more business will start to accept byteball because of the cash back program.  I am sure 2018 is the year of byteball
That's true but ByteBall still need few more things before it mature enough real ByteBall will start when it's decentralized and at least 95 of the coins are distributed as for now it's still about 40% of the coins are in the the hands of Dev.

There are 2,1 million GBB to 1 million GB, so about double. IMO they are severely undervalued.

i think they're doomed to remain forever a curio unless there's an easier way of handling and buying and selling them. future users will not be crypto purists. they're looking for ease and utility. they'll go straight for other options that offer them that even if it's detrimental to the actual purpose.

Don't get it, if you have already aquired GB to your wallet it is an extremely simple procedure to buy some GBB.
I think the real obstacle for BlackBytes is that the way you need to back up your wallet every time you send or receive BlackBytes most people would want something much simpler where there is not back up required, not sure if it can programmatically changed in the future so not back up required when sending or receiving BlackBytes ,Tonych is a talented Dev i am sure there must something can be done about it

You can set-up a multidevice wallet, then your private informations about your Blackbytes will be replicated on multiple devices after every payments.
well the average joe would want something much simpler than that ,if you're a Dev you have to think like the average joe not like a Dev because 99% are simple not technically minded people,if you want a coin for the Devs that's another story

so that's one extra step above just buying some other anon coin and sending it. you have to sync with another wallet to send it. you have to back it up constantly.

you need to be pruning the steps you need to use something to get people on board, not adding them.

dumb? yup. but most people are dumb when it comes to tech.
