Is anyone in active discussions with cryptopia?

this investigation has been weeks now.

Tony e-mailed them half a dozen times without response but apparently they are overloaded with support requests so they have a special form for stuff like this, he contacted them yesterday through this form. [source: Slack]
Being listed on binance would be the best, but tony must contact them.

Basically, new users can't buy Byteball at the moment! Cryptopia can't get their system working anymore, and Bittrex doesn't accept new users.
New User can buy at Cryptox.pl at this time...

I am thinking about migrating to BTC Segwit addresses, but I want to link my BTC addresses with my Byteball wallet. Is this also possible with the new addresses?

Another round about the denomination issue:

This is my proposal, let's change drastically the unit, let's move straight forward to KBYTE:

Pros

- We can use KBY acronim, it's not yet chosen by any other crypto (at the moment).
- It's shorter, not "mega", not "giga", just one letter "K".
- Sounds well in many languages (key-byte in english).
- It's clear that many of the new people arriving to crypto are prone to invest in lower denominated assets. It's about psychology, but most of them prefer to buy "thousands" of coins instead of just a portion of one.
- Let's forget about "byteball", that two words sound not so good for most of english native speakers. I'm not one of them, but I think that KBYTE should be the name of the plattform instead of byteball.
- No need to make any major change in the wallet, very easy to implement.
- We recently celebrated our first anniversary, it's time for a rebranding.
- Right now it's easier to do the change, because this coin is not at many exchanges.
- All recent rebrandings in the crypto world have been successfuly supported by users and rewarded with higher prices.

Cons

- None I discovered.

Lets comment about this proposal!

Bad. It was proposed million times already. The thread discussed this and came to conclusion that pertaining   cons  overweight relevant pros.

What are those pertaining cons? Please, let me know.

Cryptopia is  not worth fighting for.  It's an average exchange with  volume  not  high. The people behind Cryptopia are unable to fix  problems (if any)  fast.

The actual quote is nothing exciting:

Quote
Byteball is another crypto network that uses a directed acyclic graph in lieu of a blockchain

But Byteball is indeed mentioned (including a link).
I wouldn't underestimate that, no matter what is the quote...still there's the link and name in my point of view it's very important. New year begun and investors are looking for opportunities Smiley

yes
It's linked to Changelly and that is linked to Bittrex. When Bittrex wallets go into maintenance mode, either ETH or GBYTE, the option to trade between them disappears in Changelly. When that happens you can't trade using the in-wallet bot either.
Basically, new users can't buy Byteball at the moment! Cryptopia can't get their system working anymore, and Bittrex doesn't accept new users.

I have read time ago that the wallet is now supporting the possibility to broadcast names also for user issued assets, but that a system of name registry had still to be developed for that. Any news on the state of developement of this issue?

I think this is very important question, because a friend of me have a coffee shop and he like use a own asset for loyal points.
But without name is the asset useless for real life and not nice to look at.
sorry for my english

User @pmiklos in Slack just published his Asset Registration Policy of his registry, you can read it here:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/e/2PACX-1vQnpiwTipnBgrhSJcELOYYAOa3mTLZbmLmOebbtHFJFrfgHtlsNNZ9MPEGafvtuTnVAyfWukwu_hYSB/pub

To begin with he will publish only those assets that get verified. He also plans to publish unverified assets in the future but those will be posted by a different registry address. The above  document is also linked on the https://byteball.market website.

The byteball-alt trade bot currently telling me that byteball not available (when trying to exchange from ETH).

Obviously, if you don't have the wallet installed... There is no way for you to hold coins on your computer! Roll Eyes

- Download and install the wallet
- select "lite" when setting up the wallet after install, do NOT use full node
- get address from wallet after install
- send GBYTE from exchange to you new address
- Register with Transition Bot

Note: the March Airdrop may not happen... It is not guaranteed
thanks for the infos

I purchased only 0,35 GByte a month ago for testing purposes in exchanges . I have them in Bittrex.
Because Byteballs raised about 120% ( pair GBYTES/BTC) from early December  do you think is it a good time to buy more GBYTE taking in mind the next airdrop of March ?
What should I do for having my GBYTE in my PC for participation in airdrop, I must download the wallet from their official site (https://byteball.org/) or something else?

You have to talk to the distribution bot (from within your wallet) if you want to link to a bitcoin address.

Check for help here:

https://byteball.fr/BBdistribution.php

Thank you for the help. So  First I must download the wallet from https://byteball.org and then make all the other stuff (talking to bot etc)
