What is the recent price trend? I am buying at a high level and I imagine "forgetting" to treat it

http://lmgtfy.com/?q=coinmarketcap+byteball

What do you mean buying at a high level?  If you mean a lot, then you would be smart to do your own research instead of listening to people in a thread.  If you mean at a high price, then you bought months ago (not now).

You're 'forgetting' to treat it ...... what?

Will november has a new distribution? How many coins have already been distributed? The price seems very low now.

Read the OP (Original Post) - The very first one.
Read the website www.byteball.org - Hint:  Click on Distribution.

"...the total distributed supply reached 58.4%"

Agreed, the price is low.

OK, I will be getting a computer in a few days. I just made a full back up to a CD of my Byteball wallet. When I set up the byteball wallet on my new computer, I should retain both my Bytes and Blackbytes without a hitch. Right? I'm also going to be transferring files between computers with PC Mover. I doubt PC Mover will able to transfer all my altcoin wallet data too. (Would be nice if it did.)

In the wallet, just go through the process of making a 'Full Backup'
It creates a small encrypted file.  You can put it on a USB thumb drive or whatever.  Hell, even simply email it to yourself.
Then, you can use that file to restore everything on any platform (windows, linux, phone, whatever).

You will not lose anything.

[internal] connection closed

Anyone know what is causing this.../

Yes, several things.
Could be the bot it down.
Could be that you're not connected to the internet with the app
- firewall / TOR
Could be old version

Currently, the bot is down.  Smiley

When will the next round of distribution? It is necessary to get on the exchange, where there are fiat pairs, then dependence on Bitcoin's price will be less...

Look at the first post.
You don't need to be on an exchange to get part of the distribution.

because i have some blackbytes also and  i dont know what thats worth , so asked and get answered Smiley , and answer to BurtW i find this coin very difficult to handle  , if you gonna talk about NERD money definitly byteball is one of them Wink   ( no offense )

Still though, you're asking someone else to find out the value of your holdings.  I think YOU should be the one to do that.
Hell, just use the wallet and look at the bots on how to trade your blackbytes and see the ratio.

I have no respect (no offense) for someone asking people to figure out something for them.  I do respect a question if you ask how to figure it out.  Meaning, you are likely to come back in a month and ask the same question again.... 'someone, please tell me now how much my stuff is worth' followed by more people asking the same question.  So, I said to use a calculator.

Coin is easy to handle.  You have a wallet.  You control it.  Same for bitcoin.  Just like any other alt, if you want to sell it, move it to an exchange to convert.

Hi guys, help please.
When I launch android app (v. 1.11.2) it says "Error: pubkey mismatch, derived: ..." with an OK button.
When I press that OK button, app closes.
How do I fix it?

i have some byteball + black what is this worth Huh

71,5328 mb  on byteball

18.799.219 blackbytes ??

That's worth ~.00261 BTC or ~$14 USD.

I would have told him to use a calculator.  Now he'll keep asking you instead.
i wanna use the calc, where can i find it ??
Most smart phones have calculators built in.  Do you have a smart phone?

And, if by any chance he does have a smartphone, he could learn to use either Blockfolio or other similar apps where he can track his crypto portofolio. But I don't think he will do that

Heh, I think some of you missed it.  BurtW understood.

And, in case people are using windows....
%windir%\system32\calc.exe
aka
C:\Windows\system32\calc.exe

The point is.... Why on Earth would you come to a channel to ask people to use a calculator for you?
It took you longer to type in your question than it would have to simply have used your own calculator (android, ios, windows, or a real physical one).

There's some ERC20 byteball scam token, I already reported it but maybe a few more reports would help. The token asks for 0.03 or 0.003 eth in order to "participate in their airdrop". It's a scam, using BB's name on ETH. Beware.

This is not a Byteball issue.  It is a SegWit issue.  Currently there is no standard message signing algorithm for SegWit addresses so you cannot sign a message using a SegWit address.

Thanks.  I am surprised because my wallet allows me to sign messages using SegWit addresses.

Anybody know of any Bitcoin wallets that support SegWit and have "coin control" features (i.e., the ability to freeze addresses or send BTC from specific addresses)?
Which wallet are you using?  I use Trezor and they did propose a signature algorithm and implement it but then they backed it out because the proposed algorithm did not get any traction with other wallets and exchanges.  This really needs an official BIP so that we can get everyone to implement the same algorithm.

Funny is when someone is in a Byteball thread asking for people to help find a Bitcoin wallet with multiple features.  Try a regular bitcoin thread or one related to various bitcoin wallet.  You'll get a better answer.

I don't know of any wallet that 'supports' signing/verifying SW yet.  There is no easy way and no BIP setup to standardize a method.
Trezor backed away
Electrum crashed when signing.

I'm surprised with the issue of SW signing, that people bitch that Byteball can't give you free money by not being able to accept SW signing.
There is a method to sign or verify with a TX using a standard address.  Simply do it.

Is there any info about December Airdrop?

No.  The November dorp hasn't happened yet.

Who can help me guys. Installed a wallet Byteball, I write to the chat bot my address byteball. I get Error: unable to verify the first certificate. What am I doing wrong?

Haven't seen that on a newly installed wallet other than using a blocking program like a firewall or TOR.
Maybe delete and try again or it probably self solved itself.

I'm sure after the next airdrop scheduled, I believe Byteball GBYTE will re-test $173 and then probably it will be the last discount for long term investors.
Sure hope so. It did initially look like price bottomed out a few days ago and started it's reversal. But as I'm typing this Bitcoin is rising to over $6300 and alts are dropping again. Hopefully this time they will rise together after the initial "shock" drop.

better less ppl can buy BTC  to link to get GBytes and they need to buy Gbytes to get in airdrop.

maybe if ethereum  will be added for airdrop will be an nice experiment , but this is an idee were i read it some were around and i like it.

LOL Ethereum.  Like there isn't enough alts riding on alts already?  (All the ICO scams people are going to lose money on can't be blamed on BTC, but all those people are going to blame the platform that allowed it - ETH)

WARNING!

Windows 10 did the big Oct update and my byteball wallet now comes up as NEW

So any ideas on how to get this back? What is the wallet name? .dat file?

I may be screwed...it was an auto update and lost a lot of stuff or at least disabled the links to such

anyway.....thanks for the help

Not sure if I backed up the wallet or not...I do know it had a wallet before all this ...format name

checking to see if it is still here or not

reply here or pm

(may as well be here ..if I lost the works serves me right)

brad

The problem is Windows.  Not Byteball.  As you pointed out, you lost a lot of programs and data.
WELL.... Nothing lost, but your profile is a new directory.  Probably a failed update.

So, everything is still in your computer, but programs may need to be reinstall.

The file(s) you're looking for are in the windows data directory for the user (which the name appears to have changed).
So....

Your windows data files are in:    %localappdata%
In my case, that is:  C:\Users\Michail\AppData\Local

Now, if your computer effed up and created a new profile making it appear you lost your information, it's because a new profile was made.   So, it may look like:
C:\Users\Michail.domain\AppData\Local

So, you can copy all the old profile to your new one (docs, spreadsheets, pictures, music, etc).   It's easier to copy/move the info than to go back to the hold directory.

That said, the file(s) you're looking for is:  byteball-light.sqlite

The first is by definition not flawed.
Who can help me guys. Installed a wallet Byteball, I write to the chat bot my address byteball. I get Error: unable to verify the first certificate. What am I doing wrong?

The 2 times I have seen this before on #helpdesk involved:

1. Tor/Onion was on.
2. No firewall exception for Byteball

Hope this can help
