I knew this would happen.I sold all my gbyte @ 0.16 btc/gbyte when OP announced the new distribution rules.  Grin i doubt the price will recover now.Byteball is dead.

Just bought some more coins at more low price preparing for next distribution bitcoin is just crushing the all altcoins markets and price is dropping dramatically. I believe in this project it has potential to get recover when bitcoin will get stable at one point.

I think the price should drop 50% so that the Bbyte distribution is the same as before.

The website says: For every 16 BTC you receive 0.1 GB (1 gigabyte = 1 billion bytes) does it mean if you have less than 16 BTC you will get a proportional amount or you have to own at least 16 BTC?

Yes.

The example was to show the ratio.
It was 16:1
Now it is 160:1

So, if you have 320 BTC, you would get 2 GB

So this ratio also changed? For every 1 GB you receive additional 0.1 GB.? Thanks a lot for helping out.

Yes, it dropped from a 20% bonus to a 10% bonus.

I have invested good percentage of the funds on buying Byteballs at these price. I know markets are very fragile in present scenario but since I had no intention to liquidate Bitcoins was better usage to buy from those who are shorting altcoins. It may take some time but will be profitable deal at later.

Buy the Dip.

Yes, you get 0.1 GB for every GB that you hold. Or easier 10% on your byteball position, it was 20 % in previous round but is reduced now to 10%

Just received my blackbytes from the last airdrop about an hour ago. Wow, that took a while.

They were distributed nearly a week ago.  It must have simply been your wallet had not caught up with syncing.   Matrix voodoo magic dust stuff.   Smiley

I use the fast wallet and don't run it a lot, but figured since not downloading the entire blockchain it syncs faster? Guess I should run it more often.

You get a proportional amount. Just load wallet and talk to the transition bot. It is very simple and walks you through the linking process.

I want to make a suggestion for the developers. Please, make a section in the wallet that lists all the receiving addresses generated.

Right now when I click on the generate address button, it creates the QR code, the new address, but the previous QR code and address disappear (even if I still own it)

I want to keep track, something like this on Bitcoin Core:

There is a section.  You just didn't find it.

On the wallet, click on the cog wheel (gear),  then advanced, then Wallet information  scroll down.

In the last ditribution I got byteballs but no blackbytes. Why?

Most probably your byteball address was not linked that's why you didn't received any blackbytes.

Maybe but I didn't get any either and I linked my address.

Black-byte packages can be re-sent.  Not another payment, but the same package.
So, if you PM me your byteball address, I can check if you were supposed to get any since the issue is mostly due to people linking empty BTC addresses or not actually linking in the first place.

PM me your byteball address.  If you do in fact get any, I can request the package be re-sent.

A step you can do on your own, is:
Go to:  http://transition.byteball.org/
Paste in your byteball address.   If it's not linked, then you don't get any.

If it is linked, but the BTC address shows 0, then you don't get any.
If it shows 0, and you believe otherwise, it means your BTC address was empty at the time of the snapshot and this is likely caused by you paying a tx in which your balance of coins moved to another BTC address.

I want to say thank you for developers team. Great work and perfect idea with distribution! For more widespread adoption it is very important to have ios app in appstore (xcode is not enough)

What do you recommend, I didn't get the last sentence. My concern is that I invested a lot of money when the price was 0.2BTC with a hope that the price will be higher and back to 0.3BTC because of the airdrop, but in fact the opposite happened and my money is now stucked in byteball and I'm thinking to hold them for another month to see if the price will increase, what do you think?

if bitcoin continues on its tear then i don't think there's any chance of it going back to 0.3 soon.

each distribution is bringing more and more of them into play. there's gonna be less to dump this time and people are more incentivized to hold or buy gbyte but i don't think it's enough to rise over three times in btc terms.

i think this coin has a lot of potential in the medium term but first it has to get rid of the freeloaders and bring some genuinely interested people on board. that might take a while.

We all need advice, we are not perfect, but in the crypto world everything can happen and I'm mostly worried about the exchange rate of byteball to bitcoin because I made the investment in bitcoin and If I could only hold the bitcoin without investing anywhere then I could be much more rich than I'm now holding the byteball which has -70% of it's value.
