I also want someone to explain me what is the FINAL total supply after all the Byteballs are distributed. And also, for how long there will be a distribution going?

Can someone draw a graph of how the inflation levels look like on this coin?

dunno about the address bit.

all gbyte already exists. there is no inflation. it has to be distributed still. it's about halfway there.

i assume the distribution will continue changing if better ideas come along so there's no guaranteed end.

I want to make a suggestion for the developers. Please, make a section in the wallet that lists all the receiving addresses generated.

Right now when I click on the generate address button, it creates the QR code, the new address, but the previous QR code and address disappear (even if I still own it)

I want to keep track, something like this on Bitcoin Core:

I want to bring this up again because im really confused at the way Byteball wallet works and how it deals with recieving addresses.

Why isn't there a way to keep track of all the receiving addresses that you generated? they just overlap each other when you create a new one, they don't get saved anywhere or at least I can't find the place where all the receiving addresses that I ever generated are at...

..

it's very important to spread byteballs among people as much as possible. so it's good to prolong distribution for a longer period of time
A lot has been achieved - today at 10:59 UTC, Byteball was 5600 hours (~ 233.33 days) old.
Byteball now addresses 47 regions - China and South Africa have just joined. This makes me really happy.
Where we came from (status from 2-7-2017):

status today:

source:https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=now%207-d&q=Byteball

In my opinion, the distribution is in the target corridor / develops according to the plan.
The seed is distributed throughout the world by the end of the year...

i think the byteball reward should stay at 20% because of a few reasons

firstly ,i sold the idea  to people as a good investment opportunity and now they feel like theyve been scammed

secondly ,we want people to hodl the bytes and with the tanking price 10% aint shit anymore
The 20% wasn't enough to compensate for the price drop in the past distributions. A higher inflation just causes lower prices, so slowing the airdrop down is probably good.

Can anyone confirm how Windows backups and restore works? Just copy the %LOCALAPPDATA%\byteball -folder to the new computer at the same location, install Byteball wallet, and I should see my balances?

Btw, new website is very cool!

Isn't anybody tried to recover wallet? I have Light wallet, and need to move my wallet to new computer.

If you still have accesso to old wallet it is easier for you to install a new wallet on the new computer and to transfer the asset. Otherways you can use the full backup, if you have made it.

Ok, thank you. I have of course full backup in a safe place. I try to install new wallet and recover it with my backup. Let's see if that's really that easy. I had Light wallet and going to install that again.

Is is that the case that, if I want to backup/recover assets with passphrase(except untraceable ones ie. blackbytes), I need to use full wallet at all times?

Simply do a full backup, and then a full restore on the new computer.  It's that simple.

but the ones who were making tens of millions a month should have been disqualified earlier imo ......
anyone with $289mm worth of btc doesnt need an airdrop and are a risk to the health of the overall  project

I agree and I wrote the same thing here in the tread in May 23rd, but I was bashed by people suggesting I'm a communist or whatever, just like it has just happened to you. In fact, it was just a suggestion for a more reasonable and balanced distribution.

Well, by listening to my suggestion in May now we would not have had this megadump - so, people can now entirely enjoy the pleasure of the market taking care of better redistributing the coins. And yes, it can only go through megadumps and price collapse.

I see reducing btc holders rewards is good.
Reducing peoples byteball rewards from 20% to 10% per round is not good. They bought byteballs on the understanding they would get 20% per round. I don't think changing the rules is the thing to do regardless of the theories of how it will be better for them eventually.

You simply can not change the rules a once person buys on the understanding of an already stipulated set of rules. This is regarless of whether you feel it will be beneficial for them in the long run.

firstly ,i sold the idea  to people as a good investment opportunity and now they feel like theyve been scammed

secondly ,we want people to hodl the bytes and with the tanking price 10% aint shit anymore

thirdly ,before the reduction byteball was the most lucrative and best  airdrop ever ,at 10% monthly  it falls behind the gains from other competing airdrops such as bitcore (BTX) paying 3% weekly compounded

although ,i do think the reward for btc whales was much too generous and tony was right to cut them off ,smaller ones who  didnt make much differnce have been hurt unnecessarily

Only if they planned to dump after 2 months when the airdrop would end.

For a holder, it makes no difference as it only increases the time until they get their full rewards.

Also, less fluctuation each month because with 10% fewer people will bother speculating with the airdrop.

Of course price dropped. Perhaps it was artificially high due to the 20% airdrop and the bitcoin airdrop. But the bitcoin bull run has affected most altcoins too.

With another 4-5 airdrops now at least, and plenty of opportunity for correction until the end of the year, I am not worried about losing money, even if my profits were not maximized.

Bitcoin is bound to get a significant correction. We will have new drama in and before November with the segwit2x vs core war

Keeping the price up by incentivising holders through airdrop only won't work in the long term because once the airdrop ends everybody will dump the coin into oblivion. You better devise something more clever like real usage - that's where the real value of the currency comes from. Tony is working on exactly that by incentivising usage through cashback but it's not easy because it requires merchants and payment processing companies cooperation.

It's not hard to find real usage, for example right now byteball has 18477x less fees than bitcoin and it's faster than ethereum or at least as fast, even ethereum has 166x more expensive transaction fees. You'd be mad not to use this to buy your every day stuff, from groceries to weed (blackbytes). Also, you need GB to rise 66x, that's 21k~$ / GB in order for the transaction fees to go as high as 0.01$ US, one cent. Fastest, cheapest, untraceable and I didn't even touch the P2P, smart contract part.
Every altcoin has cheap and fast transactions. That's not enough for byteball to win users over other altcoins. As you can see with Monero and Zcash anonymous transactions are not enough either.
