There's always the accumulation of prices, but don't worry I am sure it will be back above 0.3, and if I see the chart seems to be increasing. but still be patient for it Smiley
I agree - don't worry.
Bytes are traded after the moon  Wink:
After the distribution (until approx. New moon) the price falls.
(The market needs time to digest the new liquidity from distribution).
Then it rises - until about 3 days before the next distribution (market is saturated and in expectation of next dump).
Then a new cycle begins.
Of course, there are also distorting influences like the BTC price.
Best time to sell: ~ 10 days before the next distribution, Best time to buy ~ 5 days before new moon.
It is like ebbe and flood - very easy to understand.

i noticed my bitcoins went to new change adddreses
is there a limit to the adresses i can link with or should i consolidate the bitcoins ?
No there is no limit.
As you can see here: http://transition.byteball.org/
many guys link all their addresses.
Other guys prefer to consolidate immediately before the distribution.

Better effort, thanks.

Your a dumbass if you read tonych quote and comprehend it as "exchanges are allowed to link their customers btc and retain profits of bytes for themselves." tonych asks for anyone to tell him such cheating.

"Your a dumbass". Nice. I think that says it all.

Read the quote again. He's not asking us to inform him of the cheating. He's asking us to tell the exchange customers that the exchange isn't passing on their rewards. He recognizes that a "cheating" exchange is cheating its customers and nobody else.

An exchnge address which containa profits from fees is ofcourse allowed like any business or big whale, i never claimed otherwise.

It's really hard to follow your meaning here. Maybe you could try typing a bit slower. Or have someone literate proof-read your typing before you hit 'post'.

Exchanges are not allowed to cheat and claim their customers btc as their own

What makes you say that? Can you back it up with any evidence?

I am telling others, to hodl

I know you are. And I'm telling you that you have no right to tell others what to do. They will hold or dump as they please, no matter what you say they 'should' do.

I received Payment: 14953362 bytes from the airdrop but didn't receive any black bytes. Is there any reason why no blackbytes came?

Blackbytes are slower to send than regular bytes, since when you send someone blackbytes you have to include a complete history of all the individual utxo's you're sending them. Just be patient and your blackbytes will probably arrive within the next 24 hours.

In his thread [...] I also offered to give 60% back to applicants instead of his 50% offer, but he deleted my post  Grin

Can't have some open competition, right  Cheesy

Of course you can compete, but do it in your own thread.

I'll make my own one where I give 100% back, but keep the blackbytes. Can you compete with that?

Some people surely tried to get free money immediately that's caused of temporary decrease of value. Surely who got big share form distribution can effect the market by releasing huge amount to suppress the market. Anyways everyone is free in this market to do whatever wants with own stakes. Byteball project is trying clear its objectives and directions and people are so hurry that can't hold not even free tokens.

The snake which cannot cast its skin has to die
Is Byteball the first coin ever to try the "airdrop" method?

Or has it been tried by other coins before?

Distribution method* not airdrop, this is the first of its kind done in this manner, and has been very instrumental in its success

I received Payment: 14953362 bytes from the airdrop but didn't receive any black bytes. Is there any reason why no blackbytes came?  I bought BYTESA off Trex and also had my BTC wallet correctly added/linked to my wallet. I am thankful for the BYTES just wanted to know where are the blackbytes as it says 0 balance in  Smiley my blackbyte wallet. Also can anyone tell me how much my airdrop is worth? I can't calculate. I am holding them all though not selling. I want to just accumulate now.

1. Blackbytes usually arrive about a day after your byteballs come in.
2. You can do a rough estimation of your value by checking https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/byteball/. At the moment this means you have about 370,000 satoshi worth.

@SatoNatomato, is it fine if we do our testing of DB compression ratio on the testnet or you prefer sticking to the original plan (using the mainnet)? I'll need some assistance for the testnet scenario. Or we can just go with the mainnet one, I reserved 5 GB for the fees.
I would like to try something on iota, but you dont seem to have a network in production yet? Seems to be permission based, I need to ask in your slack for peering nodes. Right? Oh I am banned from your alack. Gonna need some assistance on that.

Please drop a warning before running your test against mainnet.

You are still confusing too many issues, most of your posts are just wrong.

Again, be specific. If you think I'm wrong about something tell me what, and why. And I will either correct it, or explain to you why you are wrong.

Newbies, watch out.

That's FUD. Warning newbies about me when it's you that's wrong and not me.

First, exchanges can credit their customers gbytes which they got just for having gbytes just like any address in Byteball. This is not due to bitcoins linked by exchange. Every byteball address gets inflated even of you didnt link any btc to it.

I never said that exchanges don't earn the 10% or 20% on held bytes. I said that they can also claim for held BTC. You said they couldn't. I tried to correct you, but you didn't believe me and accused me of FUD.

Here's a post from tonych where he says he has no problem with exchanges claiming. He doesn't want their customers falsely claiming on behalf of exchanges because that is considered cheating:

Tony, how do you see whales and exchanges linking wallets to get free Gbytes?
Many greedy xchange operators will use Gbyte to just make more money by linking wallets of own exhanges.

We are filtering the exchange addresses when their customers (not the exchanges themselves) try to link them by doing a withdrawal.  This is considered cheating.

I am not aware of any exchanges that had covertly linked their BTC wallets (Cryptox linked openly, and distributed among its users).  If you find one, please let its customers know.

No issues with whales, the rules are the same for everybody irrespective of wealth.

Second, when posting here " bytecoin" and even getting its currencies wrong, while the topic is most active is just bad form. Rather stay quiet if you arent sure than spread such mistakes and instill confusion, FUD, its in the U, to spread uncertanity.

Yes, you mentioned that already. I apologized and fixed my mistake. Is that the only thing I got wrong? What's your problem exactly?

Enjoy your bytes and blackbytes, hodl, Byteball on IoT makes more sense than iota. Just you sit and watch.

Reminder, Byteball has only existed in livenet for less than 6 months. Speaking altcoininvestor-style, its main rocket engines havent even fired yet.

I'm not sure what that has to do with anything. Everyone will hold or dump as they see fit. It's none of your business to tell me what to do with my coins. If I dump too early others will benefit from it. If I hold and sell at the peak it hurts others. It's all a zero sum game anyway, so why would you be trying to try me how to trade?
Better effort, thanks.

Your a dumbass if you read tonych quote and comprehend it as "exchanges are allowed to link their customers btc and retain profits of bytes for themselves." tonych asks for anyone to tell him such cheating. Exchanges are not allowed to cheat and claim their customers btc as their own, just as their customers arent allowed to claim others btcs as their own. Fair and just, so far no exchange has been suspected of such cheating,  most just provide a service for their customers, like the good cryptox.pl.

I am telling others, to hodl, low price makes BB vulnerable, higher price makes storing illegal  or flooding with data more expensive, avoiding such hassle this early is vital. The correct price is 16btc / gb. We need network effect - more new people in Byteball, more btc linked. Btw yes I have business invested in Byteball, so my advice is biased of course.

How can I upgrade to the full wallet ?!
no way
my full wallet cant sync, always 0%

my question "how to import full wallet turn to light wallet?
where is my privkey? "

also no way,no answer.

I don't have the problem of being always at 0% but ,what I see, is that it's taking a huge time to sync. 8 hours and it stills in 7% :S

How can I switch to light wallet? It is possible?

And why it's taking so long to sync? I have to wait 5 days or so to fully sync in order to get my bytes?

Thanks
