For a good strategy / investment, it is important to understand the mechanics of the distribution.
An example is perhaps helpful for some..

Stoned & Stranged
What is most interesting thing in the token it is getting better and better with every single passing day. There is good community support which is showing seriousness and that is the key what will take it to higher and higher on the market ranking chart. Today the price showed good appreciation on bittrex.

Yeah and this is the difference between a DEV and a "dev". Serious ones won't come here and ask for money before develop a product. tonych really deserves a lot of respect for his work.

Do you guys think Byteball can be a competitor for Bitcoin? I have been trying to figure this out for a while.

too early to envisage, but certainly should prepare yourself to this scenario

byteball will be a top10 coin in 1 year.

sorry to post this again.

also maybe better chnage the trading unit to  MB ?

MB=0.001 BB, I think it is very possible to be the future unit if the price keeps this high level. It may go higher. Congrats.

top10 in 2018 for sure.

hey guys,

having an issue with my byteball wallet; it's not showing the correct balance.
here is my wallet in explorer: https://explorer.byteball.org/#TLQ2O3BSKSVYWUWANMBH5TUBQQ4ZPO4Z

showing: 7,810,942,396 bytes

Wallet is showing 5,793,626,386 bytes

All the bytes/blackbytes from the last distribution round never showed up in my wallet but showed up on the explorer.
So, I tried updating wallet to latest version and it's still showing same balance but now both bots aren't communicating with me, both giving me this error...
"Error: Socket Closed"

Any idea what I should do to fix this?

ByteBall doing good in google trends..

With a one year range:

Popularity is rising surely. Next distribution round it should be even higher.
Maybe there will be less distribution rounds than the planned 18-20.

I transfered my btc to the transition account after i linked with my byteball, will it know the balance of my account or do i need to relink or update a balance somehow? This will be my first round and hopefully not my last. Also, I have tried the latest version of the byteball client for windows 64bit, but am still having problems syncing with the DAG, I am pretty sure the first time I installed a client, the DAG was able to download and sync up 100%, but since hasn't been able to. I have tried researching a little, but I am also in transitioning in life with moving and having a couple new babies in the house so haven't had much time lately to be at the parents house where my rigs and internet is. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

The linked btc address will stay the same and your balance will be still linked if you don't move your bitcoins, e.g. send an outgoing tx.
The syncing problem was already reported and is worked on, for the time being, please restart the wallet if the syncing get stuck. Don't worry if the sync progress indicator starts again from 0%, it's misleading. The already synced data was stored away safely.

TBXDQ7QBVGLJVTLKHY7AZH5RUTGBWLMH On April 12, send blackbyteball haven't received, how to receive need how to operate
I received byteball, 1 mdfqv499hcvlam4gqugtbegec9yjwjiri BTC address, this is binding a snapshot when no money, have any effect

Indeed, your Byteball address received bytes from the distribution, I also see it linked in the transition page, however I don't know when it got linked ... If it was linked before the snapshots then you are entitled to blackbytes. I'll assume you did. Do you have the latest version of the software installed?

I have a similar issue wrt Blackbytes now.

I had been having sync issues for a week or so, even with latest versions. I finally reloaded 1.8 completely and used a very old backup, December iirc. It synced, taking about 36 hours, and the Byteball balance seems OK. The time-stamping surprised me though. Instead of being recorded as the original time of arrival (such as "full moon days" from weeks or months ago), the time for each transaction appeared in real time as the sync progressed. Every transaction shows as only minutes or hours old. Throughout all this, the Blackbyte balance remains at zero.

Suggestions welcomed, thanks!

There will never be an exchange outside the client for Byteball otherwise the anonymity is broken.
I recommend to read the white paper in order to get the nature of Black Bytes.

Current BlackByte price?

still no exchange for blackbyte?

Couple of days ago I registered myself for next round of distribution and chatbot was telling me for every 1 BTC you will receice 131 millions and some bytes. I am not really very good in calculation some help to understand the formula is needed. Let's suppose I have 10 BTC in wallet on required date how much worth of byte I will get?

For each BTC, you'll get 62.5 MegaBytes, that is 62 500 000 bytes and 2.1111*that in blackbytes, that is 131 943 750 blackbytes. So, if you link 10 BTC, then you'll get 625 MegaBytes i.e. 625 000 000 bytes and 1 319 437 500 blackbytes.
