I am a volunteer to set up and run a witness. Would you replace one of your witnesses by mine in the default list at least until we get some well reputed "captain of industry" to replace me ?

That means : are you socialy ready to start release hands on witnesses ?
Personally, I am ready to place trust in community members.

Nice to hear.

There is now a fresh new witness just started at byteball.fr and posting :

https://explorer.byteball.org/#MEJGDND55XNON7UU3ZKERJIZMMXJTVCV

Imo, witnesses need a way to advertise themselves in the DAG, such that users have an easy way to identify them using the byteball explorer and decide if we can trust them.

Agreed. Also, in the wallet witness list, a human readable label (the device name on the network for example)  complementary to the cryptic witness address would help end user to identify witnesses he relies on.

anyone can upload a screenshot of the dialogue with chatbot when linking with a message signed?

Simply copy and paste the signed message (signature) in the chat box then send. The bot should respond immediately.

Here is the screenshot:

It looks like you made a mistake here, the bot did not ask you for your btc address in the first place. The bot instruction was for you to send payment of .000999 BTC to specified address using your own btc wallet address with specific balance  or by signing it a message with your byteball address.

I signed the message and nothing. And of course I tried following bot's instructions (send BTC adress first).
No answers receive from the bot. Sad

Can you read the bot's word carefully?

You need do:
1. send a small amount of BTC to the given address.
Or
2. sign message with your BTC address. And send the result.

Of course I red it carefully. And it say: "in this case, let me know your bitcoin adress first. That's why I write my BTC adress and wait for an answer from the bot. Anyway, I also try to paste signed message and nothing happens.

Hello, one question will sound like stupid... Sad

How can I link account signing a message.
The bot said before singning, you must "let me know your bitcoin adress first". How can I show my bitcoin adress to the bot? Writing it in the chatbot doesn't work...

(using android wallet for byteball)

Please, how can I tell the bot my BTC adress before pasting message signed?? I dont want to miss this round!

paste address fist and click send icon, then when prompted paste the signed message and click

The problem is: Paste BTC adress, click send icon. And nothing happens.

Maybe because I'm working with Android Byteball-wallet?

It works exactly that way, I've just done it myself a few hours ago.
Is there something special about that address? E.g. you can't sign with a multi-sig address starting with the letter '3'!

Hi,

I need some advice on this... Any help will be really appreciated..

I made the payment from my Ledger Nano S adress to my Gbyte address and I have received a message saying:

"Your payment from 1DLUqLmL8UFH3u6crMfxzYx8BqWSgCwmwt has 1 confirmations now.

Please make sure that 1DLUqLmL8UFH3u6crMfxzYx8BqWSgCwmwt is indeed your address and move all your coins to this address. You receive 62.5 MB and 131,943,750 blackbytes for each 1 BTC of the total balance of this Bitcoin address on April 11.

Current balance of this address is 0 BTC."

I don´t know if Ledger Nano S has different addresses for the same wallet... I am confused now.. I just paid the amount that chat bot said from my BTC wallet with btc in it. I don´t understand why is saying the balance on the wallet is 0

Many thanks!

Marc de Mesel is a great guy:

https://twitter.com/cryptkeeperbtt/status/851538550969577472

He's giving out free Bytes and Blackbytes, hurry up!

This is a VERY nice gesture to offset the BTC holder advantage, even in some small way.  BB so far has the easiest interface for a wallet I've seen, and see massive adoption potential if the word spreads.

Great Guy! Giveaways are very good to get a bigger community.

On this address I already have BTC. Did I do anything wrong? What do I need to do?

Many thanks!
