We'll have our 2nd distribution round under the Full Moon, on 11th of February at 0:33 UTC.
......
Bytes to blackbytes: 1 byte on linked Byteball address gives you 0.21111 blackbytes
......
Blackbytes that remain undistributed because some people didn't move their bytes to the linked address, will be transferred to a development fund which will be used to pay for future promotion and development.
......

Only 78% of bytes are on linked addresses now.  Please make sure your bytes are on the linked BB addresses, otherwise you don't receive blackbytes for them!
Should put a warning/EMPHASIS...

Once you linked your bytes address.

If you ever make a payment, they are moved away! You have to move them back!

It happened to me several times already.

You cant just link once and then go pay other things - the wallet moves your bytes away.

Its like finding free money.

Kind of like what happened with ETC to all the pre-fork ETH holders...

time is very uncertain and it can be turn at any moment so prediction for this is futile.

So the utilization of witnesses to choose a main chain would make this a delegated tangle or DDAG.
So...  you do not read even tonich's answers?  Thank you for your valuable opinion.
Witnesses do not decide ordering of units.  Ordering is determined by the algorithm that looks back at the witnesses-authored units in the DAG.

If an algorithm determines the canonical chain by looking at witness authored units then witnesses are still delegates. Adding an algorithm doesn't change that. It's not FUD. I'm just trying to figure out how to classify byteball and DDAG seems to be accurate.

I'm going to be left out again like the first time . I tried to link my Bitcoin address to Byteball on my mobile phone and It didn't work even as I have the Byteball android app. I don't know why  but The app only keeps opening when I click to chat with the transition bot.

Had same problem. Just create a new wallet on your Mac with two devices (Mac and phone). Then send your blackbytes to that synced shared wallet

Thanks for this suggestion.

However I can't get either wallet to successfully accept an invitation from the other, either to set up a shared wallet or to even chat.

Doesn't matter whether I use QR code scanner or copy/paste the invite link. The "Pair" button does turn from grey to orange, but does nothing when I click it.

Strange.

how can we see how many byteball been linked ?

If you want to know if your bytes are linked, then say hi to the transition bot, and it will tell you your linked Byteball addresses with their balances.

If you want to know how many bytes are linked in total, well that would only be relevant to know how many blackbytes will be distributed, knowing that the non-distributed blackbytes will serve for development, and that all bytes in circulation (100 000 GB) will receive bytes whether they are on linked Byteball addresses or not.

The mentioned technical guide on running a byteball-hub is being written here https://www.gitlab.com/snippets/1548253

Have a look, follow it, and ask questions in the slack, the vision is the guide should be good enough to have a hub running on Linux in a short amount of time with high security.

You can join the byteball group on gitlab https://www.gitlab.com/byteball and contribute directly.

thank you very much, i will check this.

I have the lite wallet on my phone.
On my Mac I used the seed and created a full wallet.

I can't get the two wallets to pair. The Mac wallet is inviting the phone wallet. The phone reads the QR code but when I click 'pair' nothing happens.

I'm trying to do this so that I can move my blackbytes from the phone to the Mac.

Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

Will bytes and blackbytes show up in wallet at the time of snapshot or will there be a period of time in between? If so, are we talking minutes, hours or days?

Thanks in advance

we are only talking for good days not for the bad once..

0.62Mbyte= ?  Gbyte       ,,,why  the second  round  distribution is so little?  how many 1btc can get  in the first round ?

0.62 Mb == 0.62x10^-3 Gb == 0.00062 Gb

first round info:
http://transition.byteball.org/firstround.html
0.70663132 btc/Gb

why the second round distribution is so little?
dev's decision + there are many nonzero bb balances that also participate in distribution.
But it is 62.5MB not 0.625MB.

That is 0.062GB, bot 0.0006...

yes,,, it is less than  1/10 fhe frist round ,,what the dev is doing ?

maybe it's because of

For the bytes you hold on February 11 you receive 0.1 new byte for each 1 byte of your balance, even if your bytes are not on linked Byteball addresses.
You also receive 0.21111 blackbytes for each 1 byte of your balance on the linked Byteball addresses.

i. e. in 2nd round u can get 10% only of ur current bb balance + additional 21% of blackbb.
and it's quite enough.
that is what the particpant of first round can get ,,,what for the first time to particapate the second round ,,,means  unfair

no, u got it wrong since u can simply buy necessary amount of bb without 1st round.

and all these bought bb will give u additional 10% bb and 21% blackbb.
So what can give you more bb, buying them and then linking or just linking our btc wallet?
Where can on buy bb btw?I think it is not available on exchange yet.

at current conditions a buying more profitable (in terms of bb) than linking to btc address.

u can buy bb via the wallet (chat with bot https://byteball.org/) or go to the exchange (https://cryptox.pl/).
