I think we'll grow this app later..... For now it's specific to this specific round/pool

pretty sweet, thanks!

cryptostamp:

a question for you and phil, vapourminer.donation is not there as of this timestamp: Last Updated: 10/19/2015 01:44 AM (UTC), is something wrong? phil did add it to the list and it showed up in this post here:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.12719918

I assume "cryptostamp" is me?

The workername is "vapourminerdonation" (with no .). It's located at the very bottom and is in no specific order.

huh oh
..or is the purpose of the *.stick addy for telling how many sticks vs how many stick users?

I think you are OK. As I am following it one stick goes go .stick and then the rest of your hash is .donation. part a is per stick and you get a whole share so for 30 people its 12.5 bitcoin devided by 30.  Then he adds up the shares for everyone and proportionally devides the rest of the 12.5 bitcoin that's part b.

I think there might be mix of stuff right now at the various addys Smiley

I added this part tp an edit:

I think it would be kinda cool to see single stick hashes at the stick addy as you could tell the monster insane overclocks on that table that cryptoglance put up. put the best killer clocked stick at the stick addy for bragging right heh even more fun for stick users. however dont want to complicate things much, you already have done loads.'

but dont want to overcomplicate things. the whole point is to be easy.

Yeah it works as it is and can stay pretty much this way until next round.

We have a nice way to check hash shares.

Prize money is 12 & 12  a fee to ck .125 the guy hitting the block keeps the block fees.
This will leave us about .5 to .875 left over.
Of course we simply may not hit a block in the thirty day time period.
That leftover coin I would want to direct some to sidehack to help develop better gear.

huh oh

philip I think Im doing it wrong.

I have 2 sticks as follows: one at *.stick,  one at *.donation

so both should be @ *.stick..? and only non stick hardware or rented hashes @ .donation?

question then. how do you tell 1 stick @ say 20 Ghs vs 2 at 10 Ghs each? for example..

my 2 run @ 10.x Ghs right now as its passive cooled and only on single stock 500ma usb 2 port. soon as I get the debian/virtualbox/freenas server running the 2nd stick it will be on a y cable with a fan so I have high hopes indeed that it will hit way more.. 20-30 Ghs plus or whatever.

..or is the purpose of the *.stick addy for telling how many sticks vs how many stick users?

'The right to privacy matters'
May be confused, may be not.
I want one (or more?) sticks at .peptostick.
I don't yet recognize the benefit of having more than one stick pointed there.
I have two sticks so I expect to point one at Part A, and put the 2nd one on a donation name (Part B).
This is beginning to sound like Medicare. I hope there's no Part C.
I also have ~100GH that I might play with and would put on Part B, unless of course I defect for a while to see if I can put a few penny's in my wallet.

Phil, kindly create a .peptodonation user. I'll start mining to it shortly.

lol @ medicare part a & b

I work in a medical practice and see patients confusing it more than one might think.

yes, put one @ *.stick, the other @ *.donation

only one stick is needed @ the part a  *.stick and only the 1st stick counts as the block split shares at that one.

the other @ .donation has the shares counted @ the part b slit percentage.

philipma, please correct me if Im wrong.

okay if all you have is sticks  you can keep it at sticks or stick don't bother to change it.

what happens is the first stick gets you  1/30 or 1/29 (current number of active miners right now) of Part A funds.

Part A funds are based on you using at least 1 stick and that is what allows you to join us.

1 stick 2 stick 3 stick 4 stick get 1 piece of Part A.

Part B is your hash shares.

So My 20 sticks are all here

http://solo.ckpool.org/workers/1JiWuyX94wrCr7JhkAn7x5qNMCEef1KhqX.philipma1957sticks

They get 1 part or 1/29 of Part A

They have hash   "shares": 74462383 - 33155243 (starting number of shares) = 41,307,140

this is my stick piece from part B total team hash shares

current team "shares":        1,352,082,964
starting team shares             492,148,006

total                                       859,934,958

so my sticks earn         41,307,140 / 859,934,958 = 0.048035  x 12  or  .5764222 btc

_______________________________________________________________________
I kept my other donations apart from my sticks

This is my donation piece from part B

456,520,194
237,028,874

219,491,320 total donation shares for me

 so 219491320 / 859934958 = .25524 x 12 or  3.062901 btc

________________________________________________________________
and of course as a stick holder one share from part A or   1/29 x 12 btc  =  .034482 x 12btc  =   0.41379 btc

_________________________________________________________________

so I get 0.5764222 stick hash from Part B
3.062901 donation hash  from Part B  ----------this is mine but less then it should be. thus it is called donation

           0.41379   stick share  Part A

4.0531132 btc  my total btc

if it was all hash based I would be

.25524   x 24 = 6.125802
.048035 x 24 = 1.1528444
total              = 7.2786464

and no stick owner share since it is all hash based.

so using 1 stick and lumping everything else as dontations is technically no better or worse then

all sticks on one address then all donation on the donation address.

earnings wise you get the same.

I kind of wanted sticks with stick address  just to give us an idea of how many sticks are mining here.

Vs keeping 1 stick to stick address  and everything else to  donation address.

My greatest flaw can be a lack of consistency due to distractions of life. And I may have told a few that  asked to  do 1 stick as the stick address and the other sticks as donation address.  This was done when the donations were 100% donations.  When I came up with the part a and part b idea  which is better as it helps the 1 stick miner or 2 stick miner and no longer completely fucks a donator I may not have clarified
how to set your self up.

Part of that was lots of us can not get a working conf file and don't want to write in long addresses to do a fix over and over again.

I managed to get working bat files so I can toy with my sticks easier then some of the others. (sounds dirty some how)

Hey a Sloopy post is happening as I type.!

Back to the question I am trying to answer.  pepto it is better if the sticks stay lumped together

and I will request a donation line for you for other hash use.

I will look back in an hour or two supper time calls me.

running debian jessie in virtualbox 4.3.12 in a freenas 9.3 jail on my server in the basement.

I can compile and run cgminer-gekko. the compac is seen fine in debian. cgminer fires up and sees the clubs solo pool and connects. I get the welcome and block found messages. but it wont mine. the errors are as follows:

Code:
no valid hashes for over 10 secs, attempting to restart.
compac 1 attempted reset got error:(0) LIBUSB_SUCCESS
device failed to respond to restart
HOTPLUG: Gekko adding compac 2

it does this over and over with the compac n number increasing each time.

any suggestions?  this compac runs fine on my windows HTPC.

EDIT: the compacs led stays steady green. no frequency arguments so it should run stock speed. this stick runs at 185Mhz on the HTPC so it should run fine stock frequency..

I had the same issue when I was trying to push my compact with a regular USB from my PC. I was running at freq 150 and it was just too much for the usb. I dropped it down to 125 and it runs perfectly without any HW now.  6.867GH/s

What is your voltage set to? It has a example here - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.12359541

Assuming USB has enough power it should hit 8GH pretty easy.  But not all USB slots are equal as far as power they put out.

yeah Im wondering if the servers front USB port is underpowered.

voltage pot is set about 4 o'clock relative to the heatsink being "up" and the usb plug "down." without a clock argument on the command line I believe it runs at 125Mhz, since it runs at 185 Mhz with that pot setting on the HTPC Ill leave the voltage pot for the moment.

Ill try a rear port and/or a powered hub and give it another go.

rats.

tried it with my y cable on the servers front case usb as well as the rear mobo usbports.. still negative. so its not power related.

wonder if its some issue with freenas jails and virtualbox. USB passthru works and the stick is seen in cgminer-gekko, but it wont fire. cgminer-gekko keeps hotplugging it, timing out and then disabling it.

debian sees the mirrored USB thumbdrives freenas boots from (they are set up as raid 1), its APC UPS, and a test usb thumbdrive as well as the compac, so dunno..

sweet, thanks

philipma1957, can you add vapourminerdonation to the list? might be a bit but that way it will be all set and I can just add horsepower when I can.

http://solo.ckpool.org/workers/1JiWuyX94wrCr7JhkAn7x5qNMCEef1KhqX.vapourminerdonation

I just tested it still blank.  but I will put it on the list.

for now I do not have full access to change list only cryptoglance does.

vapourminerdonation miner address is set up, should be good to go.

okay I read it lets see how long it takes to update on cryptoglance's website.

I checked link you are in.  So it updates fast.

but I can do this below 2 x a day easy peasy.

eventually website will be revealed but cryptoglance asked me to not give out link.

Oh yeah...  I guess we should have that functionality....  I have added this worker, once the pool adds them for stats it should appear

Even if it's not the final image, it does look nice and is extremely useful. Thanks for pulling this together cryptoglance.

It might be worth keeping the "lastupdate" to know when a worker last mined in case they've dropped out. This won't affect winnings (if there are any), but it still might be useful to be able to say that worker "blah" has not mined since X date.

As I'm sure cryptoglance is aware, the lastupdate int value is just the the number of seconds since the C epoch. It's easy to convert to an actual date/time value.

This is the current interface. We only really care about shares.

Going to makr a few more updates tomorrow and will share the url tomorrow

Thanks for all the work.

Looks good so far, can't wait to see url (hopefully I'll be back up with my main computer by then).
