In ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 match between Nepal vs Netherlands already started. Nepal won the toss and chose to bowling first. It seems they are doing good performance. Because after 12 over Netherlands only took 35 run and the also loose their two strong batsmen. Netherlands current run-rate is about only 2.91. I think it was not a good start for Netherland team.
Before the starting this match, I was thought about that Netherlands would won this match without any questions. Now I think it kinda became hard to understand what gonna happen. Their two openers both are failed to do the performance. If this continue I don't think that Netherlands will be able to cross 200run today. Can't say with guarantee yet because, Nepal's batting is still left.

If cricket is not played by the local players of a country then the game of cricket is not very attractive. We are seeing more of this practice in some countries in recent times. I have mentioned earlier where I felt that the ICC may have continued such an effort as countries that did not like cricket but they became enthusiastic about cricket. I am very optimistic about some of the new teams, Nepal being one of them. Who has improved a lot in cricket in a short period of time. If they participate in the World Cup, they will gain more experience and their cricket will improve.
You are right when players from a country play cricket it makes the sport more special and interesting. It is sad to see some countries not valuing their own players and depending too much on players from other countries. And I also think t is good to see that the ICC is trying to make cricket more popular in countries where it wasn't popular before. Like you gave an example of Nepal. And I think if ICC will give more funds to these kind of teams so these teams can come up with new grace and can give more surprised in World Cups.

Defeating Nepal at their backyard is not that easy, but Namibia managed to do that. And remember that the Namibian team was without their superstar David Wiese. On the other hand, they brought in Jack Brassell who performed exceptionally in the recently concluded U19 world cup. These two teams (Nepal and Namibia) are among the fastest growing associate teams in international cricket. It is difficult to say who is better out of these two, but I am happy with the fact that both are playing with 100% native squads and still making great improvement with every passing year.
Teams like Oman and UAE are 100% composed of expats while teams like USA and Canada also have players mostly of South Asian origin. That's quite right when we say that only Nepal and Namibia in ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 have 100% native players. ICC has objection on teams from gulf countries who have 100% expats that are on work vise.
Namibia has participated in many ICC tournaments while Nepal for the first time will play T20 world cup this year which will give them good confidence.

Namibia won by 4 wickets against Nepal in ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League two. The match has held in Mulpani Cricket Ground, Kathmandu, Nepal. Namibia just won the toss and they went for fielding. And Nepal batsman started losing their wickets from Earlier and they made only 21-4 which is too poor in a ODI Format Match. Then Bhim Sharki(44) and some all rounders manage to scored some runs and they able to collect total 132 runs. Need to must mention Gerhard Erasmus who got 5 wickets which was extra ordinary. And then Namibia came to bat and they slowly played the match. Some wickets gone and their top ordered batsman manage everything as planned and got the victory from nepal.

Yes you are right Nepal performance in the match against Namibia was not good. They only scored 132 runs in 42 overs which shows that they were not very good at batting. Namibia played very well and won the game by 4 wickets. Gerhard Erasmus was the best player he took five wickets for only 28 runs. Nepal should think about how they batted and try to get better for future games. They need to look at their weaknesses and make changes so that they have a better chance of winning in the next matches.

Nepal is also around here for years, but sadly they fail to produce good results because we have tough competition for them in Asian region with too many quality teams already and few others with adopted players are also coming which are surely hurting their cause.

It was a poor batting performance from Nepal side after they won an ODI series on same ground against Canada. The whole Nepal batting lineup collapsed on just 132 runs with Bhim Sharki as top scorer with 44 runs. Gerhard Erasmus has his best bowling figures of 5/28 in that game. Namibia had to work hard to win that game, they lost 6 wickets while chasing that small target. Namibia is top team of this tournament and Nepal need to perform better against them in upcoming games to stay on top.

Nepal give very disappointed performance they all Out in just 132 runs in 42th over of the match and Namibia winning this game easily. Namibia won that game by 4 wickets in first match of ICC Crick world cup league 2. The man of the game player is Gerhard Erasmus from Namibia for all round brilliant bowling and batting performance by picked five wickets hail 5/28 and All out Nepal team. Nepal will take series his batting performance and improve it for winning next games.

It wasn't expected such a poor performance from Nepal against Namibia. the reason behind nepal lost the match was, top order batsman unable to defend bowls as excepted and had to return from the field for their early collapse. Top batsman wanted to score more and that's why most of them lost their wicket as they failed to handle the pressure of that situation. Bhim Sharki did 44 runs from 86 bowls. Rest of players didn't Played well but atleast scored better than top order batsman. Hope they would develop themselves on next match

I think Namibia deserved to win against Nepal in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League two. Even though they lost the coin toss and had to start fielding Namibia's bowlers did really well. They made Nepal best batsmen lose wickets early and that was surprising when they lost 4 wickets and made only 21 runs which is not good. Namibia played well and won. But after watching the performance of Nepali players against Canada I expected better performance from Nepal in this match. We have seen great batting from Nepali players in all three matches against Canada. But in today's match, the Nepalese players were able to provide a target of only 133 runs.
Expectations were much higher from them as they has shown good results in thier recent previous matches but later after expensive and sudden collapse of thier top order they unable to control situation and that were become the main reason of thier defeat, as everyone has idea that 130+ around target is not enough to defend at ODI even you have plenty of quality bowlers too. In my mind it's not even enough for T20 too because cricket are becoming more and more advanced and quick and that why we even see a 240 around score in single T20 innings. This is the first match of ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2. And Namibia won the match and are ahead in the points table with 2 points. In all probability they are likely to end up at the first place. None of the other 7 teams in this league can match them in terms of infrastructural facilities and institutional support. And for today's match the Namibian squad was comprised of big names such as Ruben Trumpelmann, Gerhard Erasmus and JJ Smit. Nepal gave a tough fight though. Sompal Kami and Lalit Rajbanshi made it difficult for the Namibians while chasing.
There is lots of international cricket going on at Kirtipur and this is good for Nepal cricket to grow. Nepal lost because they don't have runs on the board. If you score 132 runs then only a miracle can save you from defeat. Apart from Bhim Sharki 44 runs there is no Nepali batsmen who played big inning. Credit goes to Nepali bowlers for picking 6 wickets and making this small target difficult for Namibia team.

Though not relevant to this match but let me talk about the player who was born in another country and played for another country, that is Imran Tahir.
The other day i was comparing Virat and Babar, who is better, It's a question that will never end in this era. On one side a player who is 26 whereas the second player is 35 but the age of 35 player records can be beaten by 26. One player is Indian while one player is Pakistan. One player's shirt number is 18 while the second number is 56.
Both are the players who always lead the opponent team to lose. No doubt it's South Africa, Australia, and others. Yes when the Pakistan vs India match is playing so both play well but Babar Azam had good records against India, Virat Kohli also had in 2022 World Cup front 2 sixes to Haris Rauf. But whenever Babar face India so he did good in 2021 World Cup, he made 65 runs while the other target was chased by Rizwan.
