However, compared to England, the West Indies team managed to put up a great batting performance even though the overs were reduced by the DL system. West Indies won the first ODI match by 8 wickets, but England did not bat well in the beginning. Only 209 runs were collected by the England team, the West Indies team managed to win by scoring 157 runs through DL, and they advanced in the result of the series.
