Rohit Sharma recently made a statement claiming that he wants to participate in the 2027 ODI World Cup. Now his childhood coach (Dinesh Lad) has made a statement confirming that. Rohit is almost 38 years now, and he will be 40 plus by the time of the next world cup. For comparison, Mahendra Singh Dhoni retired from international cricket when he was 39 years old. So there is nothing unusual in Rohit keeping on playing for another 3 years. But indications are that he will retire from other formats, such as test and T20I.

I thought I would see a big innings from the Pakistan Under-19 team today. In the previous match, Pakistan Under-19 team scored 314 runs against UAE. Pakistan scored 314 runs for the loss of only 3 wickets. Shahzaib Khan scored 132 runs and Riazullah scored 106 runs against UAE.
Pakistan's batting is very slow today. After 39 overs, Pakistan team scored 154 runs. Pakistani batsmen could not score even at an average of 4 runs per over. Every batsman's batting is very slow. Pakistan coach is probably experimenting with the players in his squad. Shahzib Khan we saw as an opener in the previous two matches. But today after the fall of 4 wickets Shahzib Khan came to the crease. Now Shahzib and Riazullah are at the crease. Both are very talented batsmen and capable of playing big innings.
Pakistan was able to find two young batsmen. Shahzaib Khan is a great batsman. We have seen great batting from Shahzaib Khan in the last three matches. Shahzaib Khan scored centuries in the previous two matches. And in today's match, he scored 45 runs. Riazullah was unbeaten on 66 runs.

Group phase matches have been completed in Asian Cricket Council Under-19s Asia Cup 2024/25, and four teams have qualified for the knockout phase - India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Afghanistan is the only full member who missed out on qualification. In the first semi-final, Bangladesh Under-19s will play against Pakistan Under-19s, while in the second match India Under-19s will take on Sri Lanka Under-19s. Given the performance of all these four teams so far, I would say that Pakistan will be the strong favorites.
Pakistan and Sri Lanka's U-19 teams stand undefeated and top the points table after the group stage matches. India is to face Sri Lanka, and Pakistan is to play against Bangladesh. Pakistan u19 team are looking in a great touch from start of tournament, first they beat one of high standard team of the tournament India with a decent margin they they beat the emerging top team UAE which has done ordinary in recent tournament and now they continue thier winning streak by securing victory against Japan which wasn't enough difficult for them and they get an points which will help them to build thier confidence and continue thier momentum for upcoming elimination stage strong clashes. Anyway the new talented boy Huzaifa show their dominance and get a five wicket hawl through amazing spells. Hope soon thier guys will be proud of Pakistan national team. All the group phase matches are over in the Asian Cricket Council Under-19s Asia Cup, with the minnows getting a heavy thrashing today. In the first match, IND Under-19 managed to defeat United Arab Emirates Under-19s by a margin of 10 wickets, with more than 200 balls to spare. Before the start of this match, just like the Indian Under 19 team had achieved a huge win by 10-wicket over the United Arab Emirates Under 19 team, that too in just 16 overs. UAE Under 19 team won the toss and decided to bat. UAE Under 19 team is under a lot of pressure after losing two wickets very quickly. So naturally UAE team is batting very slowly now. After 15 overs, UAE Under 19 team has managed to collect only 49 runs. However, UAE batsmen are not able to play well against Indian bowlers. I think UAE will not be able to collect even 150 runs in this match. Indian bowlers are able to bowl very well. UAE has collected only 73 runs in 20 overs and lost 5 wickets. Collecting up to 100 runs is also a big challenge for UAE at the moment.
UAE U19 were eventually bowled out for 137 in 44 overs. India U19 is a strong team so the target of 138 runs against India U19 team was a very small target. The two opening batsmen of the India U19 team both batted in the T20 style and chased down the target with ease. India U19 won easily by 10 wickets. Ayush Mhatre was unbeaten on 67 off 51 balls and Vaibhav Suryavanshi was unbeaten on 76 off 46 balls. Today's match was important for both India U19 and UAE U19, as the team that wins today's match will qualify for the semi-finals. In the end, India U19 won and qualified for the semi-finals.

I was wondering that the Pakistan team would give the target of more than 300 but they gave less than 250. In the start Faham-ul-Haq was playing in good way and wanted to score high but from the other end, Pakistan were losing the wickets. Saad Baig who is the captain he does not dominated the opponent team as he used to do. Well, after this struggling or stable part finally the Pakistan team got a good player Shahzaib Khan, he made 45 score and at the same time made partnership with Muhammad Riazullah very well who scored around 60 as well.
In reply, the Japan u19 team is struggling at the score of 25 with two wickets already down. I do not think that they can chase or come anywhere near the target of 243 runs.

In the end, Pakistan managed to score 243 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. None of the top order batsmen could play a big innings. So even though the opponent was weak, the Pakistan team could not score big. Pakistan lost 5 wickets to score 100 runs. Even then, Pakistan was able to score 243 runs.

The United Arab Emirates has 2nd position just behind Pakistan, they have good chances to go on the Semi-Final but just have to beat the Indian team, and then they are ready to go as well, having 2.04 of NRR.

In today's match, Japan U19 team will play against Pakistan. And India U19 team will play against UAE. I think both these matches will be one-sided. There is no doubt that Pakistan U19 team will win against Japan. Pakistan U19 team is very strong. There are many talented players in Pakistan squad. I even consider Pakistan to be the strongest team in U19 Asia Cup.
Today there is the match between Pakistan and Japan Under 19s team, it is already started and Pakistan Under-19 won the toss and they are batting first. I don't think that I should explain anything about both teams and who has more probability of winning it. It is because everyone knew that the Pakistan team have more chances even I think 95% percent chances are for Pakistan.
At the same time just now Japan is suffering such a bad lose against the India team that is why we might find them nervous in the ground and this may not be good for them. They need to take the wickets else Pakistan may score big, just like India did against them and made 339 runs.
