Pakistan team's Babar Azam is quite angry because the game of cricket has to start with patience. The ball that got Babar Azam out should have been free, he could have stayed on the field for a long time. And the current pair of Rizwan and Saud Shakeel have been scoring good runs for Pakistan. Now Pakistan team batters doing batting and they scored 135 runs in 24 overs by losing 3 wickets. At present, M.Rizwan and S.Shakeel show great performance and both made good partnership. It is going to be tough on Netherlands. They haven't played an ODI against a full member team, ever since the world cup qualifiers in June. They played two warmup matches against one of the first-class teams (Karnataka) and lost both the matches. And then they had a warmup against Australia, where the top order batsmen were dismissed cheaply by Mitchell Starc and company. BTW, they had a few close matches against Pakistan in recent times. Last year, they played against Pakistan for a 3-match ODI series. Pakistan won all the matches, but two of them were really close.
Pakistan is batting right now in the first innings. They have lost three wickets so far and they have scored 101 in the 20 overs that have been played so far. Pakistan did not start very well. They actually lost three wickets pretty early. They lost the third wicket on 38. Right now, Rizwan and Shakeel are in the middle and they are playing sensible cricket. A very good partnership is forming between them. But I have to say I expected a better performance from Babar Azam.

New Zealand had decided to show off their revenge to the England in the first match itself.It was the biggest reason for the England to bowl first.Since the ground favour for the batting,the Root and Butler made his good strike today.The New Zealand made the complete target in 36.2 overs and made the England to feel guilty on the first game itself.We all know the game of Conway was unique in the New Zealand team,but no one thought the Rachin will made his hundred in the game against the England and occupy the heart of cricket fans all around the world.
Well.. this match was special. It was more like payback for the stolen match in 2019 (world cup final between England and New Zealand). Anyway, this edition of the world cup got the best possible start. No one actually expected New Zealand to win, especially after it was known that Tim Southee and Kane Williamson will not be playing due to injury. It came as a surprise that Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra were able to put up an unbeaten 273 run partnership for the 2nd wicket, and that too at almost 8 runs per over.

Yesterday, Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra of New Zealand batted as if they were playing T20. If England had given a target of more than 350 runs tomorrow, then New Zealand would have won the game. I think we shouldn't underestimate any team qualify for world cup because they already done a hardwork and show some good performance that why they got qualify as there are several quality team who couldn't qualify but they does so it will be an interesting match to watch and I believe target chasing team will have dominance over thier opponents so if neither got opportunity to chase required time them definitely they will give tough time to Pakistan because here most of the pitches are batting friendly and any balance batter can scored decent score while it's a graveyard for bowler because any big deadly bowler will leak as much as possible runs like Haris from paksitan side and today wood does. This match is slowly getting engrossing after Sam Curran took the first wicket. Rachid is on the pitch, this guy has the ability to hit the oddball and can rotate runs. Conway is in no hurry as he is still going with the ones and twos. The target is not that big for these guys to chase as a target of more than 300 runs would not be easy. New Zealand has been a different team today after their poor performance against England in the bilateral series. A good partnership is what they need to chase and win the match.

Well, we all know by how much big margin the New Zealand team won today. They really took revenge of the last World Cup finals where the England team defeated them and won the title.

Nobody was expecting such hammering of English bowlers today. Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra had a record 2nd innings partnership of unbeaten 273. Before World Cup odds were not very much in favour of New Zealand but after today's stunning performance its clear that New Zealand are well prepared for this world cup. Ravindra with this century has established himself now as recognised batsmen also.
Just imagine what would have happened, if all these South African born players (Devon Conway, Glenn Phillips, Marnus Labuschagne, Tom Curran, Jason Roy, Colin Munro, Michael Neser.etc) played for the country of their birth instead. Anyway, the loss of one team is the gain for other. Even in today's match, two of these players had a very big contribution to New Zealand's win (Conway and Phillips). BTW, England also had one player of South African origin. Although Dawid Malan was born in England, his parents are South African. And he did most of his education in South Africa.
This was really incredible to see. The New Zealand batting lineup absolutely crushed the English bowlers. This was a very easy win for New Zealand. After England gave a target of 283 I thought it was actually going to be competitive. But of course that did not happen. New Zealand was just destroying their opponent. I actually think that it was because English bowlers were not very comfortable performing on a pitch like this. They are not used to the conditions as well. I think England is going to learn from this mistake and try to improve. Congratulations to the New Zealand team for having a great performance at the start of the competition.
