Good batting from captain Ben Stokes and David Malan give good plate form for this target and now their bowling is completing this business before world cup for their best defend into this event.

New Zealand were able to restrict England to 368 thanks to Boult's excellent bowling. The match would have become competitive only if the top order batted well. But I didn't think their batsmen would bat that badly. After losing the first wicket for 18 runs, they lost the fourth wicket for 37 runs. And they collected only 70 runs in 17 overs. New Zealand scored an average of 4.15 runs per over. New Zealand still need 299 runs to win. And they need to collect more than 9 runs per over. It seems impossible to me.

If England win this match, they will advance 2-1 in the series. England is likely to win the series. But they unexpectedly drew in the T20 series. England lost the last two matches of the series. Hopefully England won't let a repeat happen, and win the ODI series.

I am very annoyed by New Zealand's batting. The pitch is batting friendly. England's top order batted brilliantly. But now New Zealand's batting looks like they have played on a bowling friendly pitch. They lost four batsmen to collect only 37 runs. Talented batsmen like Devon Conway, Will Young, Henry Nicholls and Tom Latham could not survive at the crease. Now New Zealand's last hope Daryl Mitchell and Flenn Phillips. If these two wickets fall quickly, then New Zealand will lose the remaining wickets very quickly. These two batsmen are the last experienced batsmen in New Zealand's squad. Bangladesh Team has already been eliminated from the Asia Cup. Mushfiqur Rahim went back to Bangladesh to see his newborn and he does not want to play the last match against India. I was interested to know who is going to replace him. I do not see any other option than Anamul Haque Bijoy. But a news reporter from Bangladesh confirmed several board directors of Bangladesh team wants Naim Sheikh to play the last match against India and Afif hossain get another chance and he will replace Mushfiqur Rahim. As a Bangladeshi, I don't really understand what is wrong with the Bangladesh cricket board. What they want actually? I know it is very difficult to score 400 runs. But if England continues to bat like this, England will collect more than 400. Stokes in particular is batting brilliantly. After 43 overs, England collected 336 runs. Stokes remains unbeaten with 173 runs off 117 balls. If Stokes stays at the crease, scoring 70 runs in the last 7 overs is not a difficult task for a team like England. Stokes also has the likes of Moeen Ali and Sam Curran to support him. So I don't think collecting more than 400 is too difficult.

LOL.. England looking very solid on their way to a 400 plus total. After 40 overs, they are 307/4. 10 runs per over should give them a total of 407, while 12 runs per over will be 427. Ben Stokes is just hammering the Kiwi bowlers, like they are from a grade-3 club. Everyone has got the stick so far. Even the reliable Trent Boult has gone for close to 6 runs per over. Jamieson, Ferguson and Ravindra are having horrendous economy rates. What has happened to the New Zealand bowlers all of a sudden? They used to have the best pace bowling attack 2-3 years ago.
