Yes, Afghanistan is showing very professional game in 2nd ODI against Pakistan. Can't imagine they are batting 24 overs without losing a wicket and the runs aren't too bad. If they can perform like this then I don't know what they will do against Pakistan but they will have a good chance in the Asia Cup. But the main thing is the consistency of their performance. If they maintain this consistency then they will have a very good chance of winning one match in this series and they can have a good position in the Asia Cup as well.

The way they are batting in the first innings in the Pakistan vs Afghanistan match, maybe they will do better today. We saw that they batted very badly against Pakistan in the first match and they got a huge gap but maybe Afghanistan will perform well in today's match. LOL.. given how inconsistent Pakistan is, I won't be surprised if they lose this match. Don't forget that during the last match they struggled to get to 200. And this was despite a lot of their star batsmen being present, including Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman. Afghan spinners are in great form at this point and last time the spin triad shared 7 wickets between them (Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan). Pakistani batsmen need to devise a good strategy on how to face them, or else they are going to be in big trouble.

After losing first game in the worst situation now most chances we will be having good fight back from the Afghanistan because they can fight back in this series with available sources and quality of bowling but sadly their batting is still concern because they are not able to improve batting quality in last few years which is the problem even their few players are involved in many franchise leagues, but things are not good now if they want to have better results and better position they need to work on this department without any improvement and quality batsmen they can't stand against quality teams.

Pakistan is having history of playing poor against spinners and currently same happening to them, but they still have few players those can do much better for them, so hopefully we will have another exciting match between these two sides after having one-sided affair in first ODI of this series.

2nd ODI between Pakistan and Afghanistan is played today. I think there is no change between squad Pakistan will go this winning team. But my suggestion is to give a chance to Soud Shakeel he is a great player and in form batsman and played spin bowling very well. Afghanistan main strength is spin bowling attach that is why I think selectors give a chance to Soud Shakeel. In this match Babar Azam will make good runs because previous match Babar Azam couldn't score. But 1st ODI match performance of the Pakistan team outclassed particular bowling unit Naseem, Shaheen and Haris.

Your intention might be giving afghans some benefit of doubt, which is fair argument.

But at the same it also implies that pitch was favoring the bowlers and overall there was no contest between bat n ball, even if we consider 200 runs on the scoreboard in the first inning.

OK.. so many posts about Afghanistan getting blasted out for just 59 runs, but I would rather argue that it was a rare occasion where all of the Afghan batsmen failed. Batting is their weakness, but getting out for two digit score was just extreme. And all this came after an exceptionally well bowling performance where they managed to bowl out Pakistan (full-strength squad with top batsmen such as Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan) for just 201 runs. At one point Pakistan was 112/5, and then made a slight recovery.

If Afghanistan wants to have better success against quality teams they need to work on batting because without this their success is difficult even impossible, but this is also a good wake-up call for the Pakistan team and their batting as well for the coming events.
