Jeez,  I am sure that they would post that they have incoming shipment if Avalon shipped anything.

Also, TH does that k16 figure take into account the k64 boards? is that a single board (k64)...or 4 k16's somehow placed together,,,lol,,,been a little confusion on that.... Thx

k64 is 4x k16 printed on one larger pcb.  they can be separated, but not that easily   Undecided

also just saw in steamboat thread

B3 avalons (7 in total) just arrived for my group buy. Hopefully this means the chips will follow soon!

Any word on anyone else receiving the chips after Zefir's batch one?

We are heavily invested into this, and it would be a shame if Avalon is causing unnecessary delays.

For an update: We have all the parts/components needed for assembly of up to 200,000 chips (12,500 K16s) either on stock, on the way to us, or on order due to be delivered within the next 2 weeks. We will be assembling 60,000 of our own chis, and have so far received orders for assembly of about 40,000 chips. We expect more people will send their chips our way, once they get them.

It's unfortunate that so many folks are at the mercy of Avalon at the moment and they don't even bother to give status updates.

I can't think of any other situation where a $80,000 order doesn't even give the buyer a way to contact the seller and get a timely response (having a helpdesk ticket website where the tickets are ignored doesn't count).

Seriously, it is a bit crazy.  It seems like someone has to have some sort of inside info on Avalon, but they seem to be in total silent mode (as they make millions mining with customer's machines, and delay chip shipping).

Lame Avalon, lame...

I'm on zefir batch 2 so you will be receiving my chips if and when Avalon decided to release it :|
One question I have is zefir has stated that he will be grouping shipment to board manufacturers. i.e. He would be shipping a packages that contains chips for all terrahash orders in batch 2.
I think you have stated that to write the order number on the package itself. But I think that is not feasible if zefir is shipping them all in one package. Let me know what you think.

Also can you comment on whether fan for the heatsink will be needed for stock speed and for overclock to 350 mhz?

with a difficulty increase of 18% every 2 weeks your ROI is around feb 2014 (70 + 20 % = 84 btc)

And you think the foundries can keep increasing ASIC chip production by 18% every 2 weeks do you?

Utter nonsense.

plus, I dont know how many GPU farms are still mining BTC,,,but the bigs ones 50-60 g/h, a couple I know of, still are and they havent dropped out yet...so lots of room to absorb asics increasing difficulty,,,plus in theory BTC Value should rise overall....with difficulty, I hope we are seeing that begin now some? Smiley

Talk about them wasting electricity still mining BTCs... I already switched all mine (not much, lol) to LTC., it's at 2x profit vs. mining BTCs at this point.
Ya me to Zurg,,,actually hitting it hard with Feather Coin all week! so far so good....

I am trying to get every currency out there, lol.. never know which one peaks.
FTC is good to have right now also, nearly 3x

Hmm, anyone here on Skype? lol, we can start a TH channel, heheh so we can answer non stop, "is it here yet?"

The foundries are not the issue.  They can produce orders of magnitude more chips than they have currently.  The problem is the immature supply chain for all these companies.  They have limited funds to produce chips, so they order a small/limited production run.  Then they have limited funds for PCBs, so they order a small number of boards, etc.

The fabs can produce millions of these ASIC chips per month easily.

Have they receive the new revised PCB board yet ?

They have all the parts needed to produce the boards and are 100% ready for when the chips arrive.
Again, they were very confident in their ability to get the customers their finished product asap.

They have K64 boards?
