$700 for standard shipping?  No thanks.

Mine was $50...where do you live?
Two states away.  Try to order a completed unit with multiple boards inside...  the ordering system charges per board.

Point I don't get is; it makes no difference to Terrahash if they open the order books, right now, or after a respected member of the forum has verified them in person and they have a working Klondike, which is apparently only moments away, anyway. The only people it makes a difference to is you, as you're being asked to pay now, not before the aforementioned could be easily proven...

But they allow paypal which is buyer protection, for example, I'll use an AMEX through paypal...credit card fraud isn't something to be trifled with.

Yes, that is the only way to pay...

I totally agree, if they are screwing around, I'll report them to Amex, who would love to make an example.

Look I've been pro Terrahash most of the time as they weren't taking monies, but in my eyes they haven't gone far enough to provide supporting evidence. Paypal also won't cover you above $10k, so that puts any large DX buys fully loaded out of contention...just be careful!

Yep, I'm in the same boat as you, just confident in the dual Amex/Paypal protection, and my total order was ~$1,800 (may have been higher had they done this right).  Amex has never let me down, and I've been in some spots with them before, its why I pay their fees.  My concern, which we've both previously noted, is that its just so easy to prove a chip order, and they didn't do it.  But given the protection offered, its worth a shot to me...my only hope is that these are all guys who know electronics, and simply don't get customer service AT ALL (and I know a lot of people like that).

#485, no way of knowing what order number they started with, or if they had orders off the books before they officially 'opened'.
