The ritual progresses, frenzy is building!

Cthulhu does not smile upon Cryptsy but would consider a listing there if they so desire.

Here is an alternate ritual site (p2pool) for worshiping the Great Old One:

http://192.241.200.142:3333/static/

I've set the fee at 1%, I don't imagine ever increasing that.  This is all for a fun coin and a great learning experience.

Here is the link to the pre-compiled quark cpuminers for Windows.  Should be same link that thcst8 posted previously:

https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BxKqW4aMUczmaTVfWjZEdnpqLVk/edit?usp=sharing

Be careful, there was malware floating around not long ago as a quark cpuminer, scan whatever you download.

For unix I found the "uncle bob" cpuminer performs quite well:

https://github.com/uncle-bob/quarkcoin-cpuminer

Installing the latest GMP library could also make a difference in performance.

Command to start mining with this pool:

minerd.exe -a quark -o http://192.241.200.142:3333 --userpass=YourWalletAddress:AnyPassword

Make sure "YourWalletAddress" is part of the command otherwise you're donating everything to the pool.

  the pool is too slow

If by too slow you mean the rate then yes there are only a handful of miners using it at the moment.

All hail the Great Old One, master of the sands of time and supreme architect of the cosmos.

Legends of old remind us to keep our Offering satchels close, but to keep our brothers and sisters of the Ceremony closer.

If it would suit the Great Old One, please consider sending this simple yet loyal peon an Offering:

While I have successfully compiled a number of nameyourcoin-qt wallets on Linux without more than just running qmake and make, I've recently run into the following error looking for Windows specific files while compiling on a few of more recent ones, Offerings-qt wallet included:

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lboost_system-mgw46-mt-sd-1_53
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lboost_filesystem-mgw46-mt-sd-1_53
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lboost_program_options-mgw46-mt-sd-1_53
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lboost_thread-mgw46-mt-sd-1_53
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [GoldPressedLatinum] Error 1

If you hit the above running make, open the nameyourcoin-qt.pro file in the source and comment out the entire section about Windows libs, just like the below:

#Uncomment this section to build on Windows using QtCMD/MinGW. Adjust dep locations as needed!
#windows:LIBS += -lshlwapi
#LIBS += $$join(BOOST_LIB_PATH,,-L,) $$join(BDB_LIB_PATH,,-L,) $$join(OPENSSL_LIB_PATH,,-L,) $$join(QRENCODE_LIB_PATH,,-L,)
#LIBS += -lssl -lcrypto -ldb_cxx$$BDB_LIB_SUFFIX
#windows:LIBS += -lws2_32 -lole32 -loleaut32 -luuid -lgdi32
#LIBS += -lboost_system-mgw46-mt-sd-1_53 -lboost_filesystem-mgw46-mt-sd-1_53 -lboost_program_options-mgw46-mt-sd-1_53 -lboost_thread-mgw46-mt-sd-1_53
#BOOST_LIB_SUFFIX=-mgw46-mt-sd-1_53
#BOOST_INCLUDE_PATH=C:/deps/boost
#BOOST_LIB_PATH=C:/deps/boost/stage/lib
#BDB_INCLUDE_PATH=c:/deps/db/build_unix
#BDB_LIB_PATH=c:/deps/db/build_unix
#OPENSSL_INCLUDE_PATH=c:/deps/ssl/include
#OPENSSL_LIB_PATH=c:/deps/ssl
#MINIUPNPC_LIB_PATH=c:/deps/miniupnpc
#MINIUPNPC_INCLUDE_PATH=c:/deps

Rerun make.

So far Gold Pressed Latinum and Cthulhu Offerings have had the above uncommented by default and so I hit that error with both.  The solution is pretty straight forward but you never know, someone may pull their hair out late one night trying to figure out what's wrong.  Hopefully this helps save some hair.
