Hi group, we are considering purchasing CoinCraft hardware, but after reading these posts i'm really in doubt, see here http://www.clickon.ch/blog/bitmine-ch-coincraft-miners/. The miners look good, as i understand people get decent support if something goes wrong, the refunding is however a difficult endeavour. The question is - can we trust Bitmine.ch as our business partner, or better look somewhere else? Your thoughts are welcome.

The miners are overpriced (at least from what they are offering the public) and have high/bad power consumption.  If you are ordering in bulk,  you can probably get better deals from other hardware venders who have less obsolete equipment. Aside from that,  the company is cash poor and can't realistically give refunds if something does go wrong.  Plus they are ethically questionable.

I'd look somewhere else.  S3s from Bitmain use 3/4ths to 1/2 the wattage per ghash and cost about 90 cents per ghash.  If they are offering you less than 75 or so cents per ghash with A1s(including power supply),  it might be worth using Bitmine's older equipment.  Make sure you cover your back in dealing with them,  though.  Try to hold money in escrow and use lawyers to write contracts.

The miners are/were good but I am sorry to say that their order fulfillment and customer service are pretty screwed up. Buy from them and you'd likely have to spend a lot of time sorting out errors, especially if you have multiple orders. They only answer their phone 4 hours a day, and they don't seem to respond to email tickets anymore. My feeling is that you really need to pester them to get the attention of customer service and get something fixed. Of course once you do that then other customers who bother them less are going to get unfairly ignored.

Given their track record and the way they treated paying customers (myself included) I can not recommend them
Also, I guess you need to define "decent support" -- expect a 2-3 day turn around for email and tech support
Finally, the mining blades run hot and use a lot of power.  Not a good return on electricity

Almost all problems were caused by delays in early development and production, which happens to new companys.

As far as I can tell, the production line is working pretty well now, and customers have received compensation units within a few days of asking for them.

However, they might be fairly busy setting up their Iceland hosted mining, so I don´t know how much volume production they can handle for direct sales at the moment.

Who'd thought this - received my two rigs today. However, still trying to bring the first one to work. There are four blades in it. Don't know, though, how much each of them should deliver, for with their compensation plan, it is not clear what I got. But yeah, one blade is getting warm and delivering, the other three stay cold. Anybody here with some experience?

*****

Edit:

Okay, seems as if it was a wiring problem. After removing the blades, checking and cleaning all the power connectors, it works now with 1.2 Th/s. Well, still no way to make any ROI (technically speaking), but with the compensation, I run now 2.4 Th/s which will at least give me some BTC during the months...

Would like to hear from anyone who bought / changed an order to cloud hashing.

The service should be online starting at the middle of August.

sure August.

As a non-swiss resident, you need a lawyer for almost anything. Lawyers aren´t cheap.

I also don´t think it is likely you will be able to prove any criminal charges against them.

You might be able to accelerate getting your money back, but it will still take months. (and bitmine might have payed until then, so the legal costs weren´t neccesarry in the first place)

Also, have fun arguing your case in Italian.

I think it's like Collider said. Sue them and you lose even more money.

BS Collider is still on BITMINE's SIDE

Sue them, and make them pay what they owe you.

Read my previous posts to see how it is done.

To get rid of any doubts:

The Swiss legal system doesn´t typically award lawyer cost and other expenses to the winning party.

Swiss lawyers aren´t cheap at all.

You will be looking at major legal costs if you want to sue them, and I do not think they would be found guilty of any criminal charges.

Bitmine seems to have shipped most of the orders now, and apparently have the capabilities to deliver a large amount of hashpower in shorter times.

It might be best if you just come to a conclusion aka 200% hashpower delivered now... etc

'All that glitters is not gold'
Bitmine AG f..k us again and again and we lose tons of money !

This winter we have lost the opportunity to:
- buy cheap Bitcoins (~$400)
- buy Ant Miner S1 (as alternative to Bitmine AG products)
- buy Gridseed units (as alternative to Bitmine AG products)
- buy Ant Miner S2 (as alternative to Bitmine AG products)
Bitmine AG don't delivered on time, so actually very few people had the chance to start mining when the diff was low and the price stable (~600).

This summer:
- we miss the chance to buy cheap Bitcoins again because this [...] company, Bitmine AG REFUSE to REFUND ! Our money !!!
Shall I call this THEFT ?

Unfortunately for me I am not a Swiss citizen, and I don't know how to deal with this situation..

I would also like to take legal action against Bitmine and am looking for a lawyer. Can anyone recommend a lawyer in Switzerland, which is already familiar with the topic of Bitmine?[/b]

crocko

I have also had this email, and my partners and I have rejected the other "options" and demanded a refund. We are about 10-14 days from starting legal action against Bitmine AG and its Directors personally. This is not about the money, but the principle. That is why we will pursue not only Bitmine AG's assets, but also the personal assets of the Directors involved where at all possible.

I think personally one would have to be very naive to accept a hosting contract when presumably the equipment you ordered for your own operation hasn't even been produced yet, why would there be hashing power for you in the "data centre"?

Taking half a year to process a refund it outrageous.

When they took payment, they didnt say you could finance over 180 days.

'All that glitters is not gold'
Here is the answer at my refund request from April 30:

Kerim (Bitmine AG)

Jul 23 17:04

Dear XXXX,

as you may already be aware we are facing some difficulties to process all the refund requests we have received. With this e-mail we would like, first of all, to apologise for the delays you are facing and to thank you for the patience so far.

Given your position in the refunds processing queue and our cash-flow projections, your refund is expected to be processed about on the second half of October, 2014.

We understand this may be a long time to wait for, as such we would like to give you some alternative options that may be available in shorter time:

1) We may restore your order and send it to you with 100% more hashing power than the original order was. That is, if you ordered 1TH/s, you would get 2TH/s. Shipping would usually take place same day or day after we received confirmation from you, anyway not more than 5-7 days.

2) You may convert the amount we owe you (including the 10% penalty) into hosted mining contracts, which will be available from August 15th. More information is available at http://bitmine.ch/hosted-mining-plans-now-available-starting-1gh/

Let us know if you are interested in exploring either of the alternative options, otherwise we kindly ask you to bear some more patience until your refund is processed.

Best regards,
Bitmine AG, Bitmine.ch

I choosed to have the refund despite will be processed in October. (Will be processed then? or this is another LIE?)

That is why I am asking, to use other users as guinea pigs.

If someone has tested the waters and deems them safe, I will have more information available.
