You lead and I'll watch you walk away.
Seeing stuff like this burns quite a bit. Such is the luck of the early investors. I hope that we can celebrate something like this 10 years from now, hopefully our current stacks can afford us a lambo.

Any investment is going to pay more to the initial investors than it pays when the investment is more seasoned. I'm jealous of the early Apple Inc investors. Every one of them is famously wealthy, later investors - not so much.

If I invest the amount some people say is a good number of btc to retire on I may as well just go out and buy a gallardo right now. I am hoping they are wrong and in the future just a few bitcoins will get a lambo

Seriously though, they can't all be rich surely?

Nope it's all on the never never. Look at all the finance options on the table for the average car buyer here. In France you can barely get the bank to hand over a credit card with a couple of hundred Euro limit.

Wasn't aware that was the current of thought in the UK, it seemed quite the opposite when I went there once: super cars pretty much everywhere on the streets. Of all kinds and brands...

So I guess there are many twats around there? Cheesy

As for staying under the radar... Agreed Wink

Compared to almost any other country I've been to, the UK is heaving with top end cars. In comparison in Europe or the US you might spot a fancy car every couple of days if you're lucky.

It's not down to wealth as much as a love of outrageous amounts of credit. I think the UK is the world's most personally indebted economy by a long way.

A supercar in London is just part of the landscape. Elsewhere it's open season from jealous dick heads. Brits do not like or encourage overt displays of success.

There are lots of high end cars and super cars here in the UK. It's not rare at all.

Just at my gym in the car park are Astons, Porsches, ferraris (sometimes). One guy I know has a Bugatti veyron too! But he keeps it at his holiday home in Monaco.

Unbelievable.

Seriously though, they can't all be rich surely?

I've owned a couple of quasi supercars. I don't think I'd ever go there again. In the UK it doesn't inspire appreciation. People just tend to think you're a flashy twat.

Staying under the radar is far more peaceful and more fun. I'd go for a stinky old banger with a few hundred grand's worth of WRC technology bristling underneath.

I imagine it's fun for awhile but the attention would get old unless you crave it. I've heard many people say that's the reason they ditch their dream cars even though they love driving them.   Saying that..it would be great to have one for the occasional ride. In my location it's super unnecessary and you must be super rich as upfront cost and maintenance are stupid compared to the U.S..and the roads are not super car worthy.

I'd like to have one on some kind of timeshare if I ever end up spending time in the U.S again..and, well, btc makes me wealthy again lol.

Yeah, but bitcoin was worth a lot more back then. Does anyone know the fiat value of what he paid for it originally?

At a guess 150,000 - 200,000 GBP roughly translating to 240,000 - 300,000 USD.
Just off the top of my head a top spec Lambo will cost in the range of those prices.

This thread is a real dream/ambition/motivation for mere mid 2014 adopters like myself, obvious it's miles away at the moment but maybe if we go to $10,000 in 10+ years time then this kind of dream is a reality for people like myself.
Hey it's good to dream big isn't it, no matter how unrealistic it may seem right now we have to hold out hope.

Should I kill my self ?? on the picture you posted here TRWNBC
how come the seller sold his Lamborghini for like ~50,000$ ? Pretty sure it costs millions or he bought it a long time ago when the price of Bitcoin was higher ?
