Why would the creator of a coin give our the source code? Surely doing so would mean something like this was bound to occur?

To have someone who can compile the Windows binaries.

Guys. The correct way to do this is to

  1: Mine the seed block.
2: Release the source code, and let binaries be created if you can't do it yourself
  3: Get the network up
4: THEN release the seed block.

This is not rocket science.

Protip for people doing this at home:  'noirc=1' in your [whateveryoucallyourcoin].conf makes this much easier.

You'd think that people attempting to release a coin would at least have the FAINTEST idea how this stuff works.

Why would milkshake premine it and then give it to you so you could see.... mmmm
Because he was an idiot and left his client running after he sent me the source to compile. He noticed it pretty fast and disconnected.
Oh? Then it was  dentldir, the other person I gave the source code to build.

I can't even mine a genesis block under a hour, do you seriously think I can premine that many blocks?

I like how you're now trying to pin all those blocks on me. Hilarious, really.

Dude, we know you were the one that premined it. Claiming the 'hard limit' would make it impossible, idiot. 1300 blocks is EXACTLY how much it would allow you to premine.

So to sumarise:

Hazard is a guy that should not be trusted.

Github needs a minimum age requirement to stop kids posting coins and ruining the Crypto image in general?

Maybe a re-launch in 24 hours with pools properly set up and a Windows qt?

Maybe let it die. It's a failure.

+1. Even if everything from here on out goes roses, apparently SOMEBODY premined a good bit. My vote goes towards letting this coin sink to the bottom of the pile.

it's a scam coin anyway, just look at this

static CBigNum bnProofOfWorkLimit(~uint256(0) >> 40); // Elacoin: starting difficulty

you think chcoin is low starting diff? try something that's 2^20 lower.

Never worked in the first place if you ask me. If it did, then prove it by telling us how you got it to mine on the main-net or did you not actually get it to do that? If you can't explain it, then you're not much of a Dev. Me either, which is why I can say it--but changing the merkel/genesis should be pretty easy for someone who "knows how to write a coin."

Thanks for wasting my evening, at least it was "fun."
