5 orphans, 0 blocks found

This coin seems like a scam so far - who the heck got a million coins ??
1 000 000 coins?

ATM there is +-20 000 blocks

(how many miner are mining? 500? so its 40blocks/miner. Nothing special)

20.000 for 75 (the average between the beginning 100 and now 50) = 1.5 millons.

where do you check whether you got an orphan block or not? yacoind is running in the background and I'm just occasionally checking my balance with ./yacoind getinfo.

Go to console and type listtransactions it will tell you which found blocks are orphan.

Also you can check the "number of transactions" on the overview page, if you have say 5 transactions in there and  0 in the Transactions tab, then you have 5 orphans.

Stop spamming the forum. This is normal. Your processor is simply not fast enough to produce a NEW block => someone found it before you...

I just found it curious that you get almost all blocks and the rest of the miners get 90% orphans, so I made this thread.

We'll let the other users decide if this thread is worthy or not.

All blocks? Cheesy I have 161 block - 19 orphans => 142 block

(EDITED)

what miner are you using (the client?) and what specs (i know you wrote it in the other thread somewhere)

For the last time:

I downloaded the source from git, i compiled it for ubuntu 10.04, and use the command that is in the first post in the official thread: ./yacoin-qt -gen -genproclimit=16 -addnode=82.211.30.212

I have also a really good connection to internet >1Gbps

this is just a "curious" question,,,

if someone had over 51% power and used this exploit - would this cause "mined blocks" to become orphans?

I think there's a thread somewhere outlining the impossibility of a single person obtaining and maintaining a %51.

Cause he is using another client or mining with GPU, is part of the scam.

I'm mining just like you, with 2 Xeons (16 threads...)

point of this thread  Huh

please Google orphan block.

I was getting about 1 block every 3 minutes at the start, now I get one around every hour.

To know if others are getting as many orphans as I am.

This is a free market, we'll let the people decide if this thread is worthy or not.
