Using offline wallets to store your cryptocurrency is for me, the safest way to secure your coins because you'll only need to access the wallet via a secure internet connection. Unlike online wallets which are very susceptible to hacks and human error like forgetting to logout your online wallet.

For long term storage, please use offline paper wallet or hardware wallets. Paper wallet must be carefully generated though.

For daily/ frequent use, you can consider one of the mobile wallet- after all you do not bring your computer with you everywhere. Try breadwallet.

If you hold bitcoin for long time wothout touch it regularly then its correct to use offline wallet. Its more safe.
But for daily wallet using, its more complicated if you use offline wallet. Better using online wallet. They have pros and cons.

It must be admitted that offline is safer than online wallet, but there are important things to note that the computer specifications should be good and not practical, while the online wallet security side is less good but practical because it can be accessed anywhere.

There is one big difference, with an offline wallet you can't send transactions to the miners. With an online wallet this is possible, you can view the blockchain and send a signed transaction to the miners, they will add it to the blockchain. But some offline wallets allow you to sign transactions being offline, then you can send that transaction with an online wallet or a webpage to the miners. So you're basically doing the whole process then on you're offline wallet.

Obviously if you want to send Bitcoin you are going to need it to be in an online wallet. This is common sense. The point of this thread is to discuss which are better - online or offline wallets.

As for my opinion/view, it is quite clear that in most cases offline wallets are better because they are more secure compared to online wallets which by nature are susceptible to getting hacked...

Can somebody tell me about MyEtherWallet? I heard that it is unsafe and you can lose all your money. But what if I won't give nobody my private key? How can another users get access to my coins?

No way. Only you have access to your private key, so just be careful, it`s simple, and no phishing site. I don`t know, how MEW can get access to  your wallet w/o p k

To avoid hack and other melaware issues, offline wallet is the best tool to store all your wealth. I've been using online wallet before but by the time i was victimized by scam, i shift to offline wallet, That thing serve as an eye opener of my part.

dont use hardware wallets. They can break, and will malfunctioning if exposed to more than 50Celcius.
A paper wallet is your best choice for now

Every hardware wallet gives you a 24 word seed at the first boot. Paper wallets aren't as durable as you think. Many people buy hardware wallets and cryptosteel which is waterproof and fireproof. I personally prefer using a hardware wallet and storing my seed in a secure place.

True. There are alternatives for hardware wallets and although a bit more expensive, will ensure that your coins are safe from any physical factors.

It depends on your needs. However the best choice most of the time would be an offline wallet because you would be exposed to less risks. But whatever wallet you use, you have to be careful and take the necessary precautions, so you won´t lose your money.

Well hardware wallets can only break down if you are reckless and don't handle it carefully after storing your wallet info on it and i think the same can happen to your paper wallet if you are not careful enough and get reckless. I have hardly found or heard of a hardware wallet breakdown though.
One of the reason I don't like hardware wallet is that it can be lost, especially those that are very small like USB drives. I prefer online wallet and mostly web-based wallets as long as it's security are at the maximum.

Offline portwfel is the best because it will provide 100% security. The mechanical one is encrypted from the panel on the wallet. You can always break into online wallets.

Best on what I see,  online wallet is now the up system for cryptocurrency and Blockchain wallet which all information given are pass and operates with the use of internet connection. It will be nice and more convenient to all people specially investors if offline wallet is on in our generation since they can access in all information there is a internet or not. Besides offline wallet helps the undeveloped countries to go with the innovation.
