Do you have anyone close to you that knows about Bitcointalk since you said the post weren't made by you?
Because someone around can be the closest who can do such thing probably such user is dreaming to have a big account, or could be as a result of of autosave password.
I don't think the hacker or intruder wants the account because the password would have been changed to ensure that Scott doesn't have access to it. Maybe they want to use his account to spread malware.
I have known Scott for years and I can without a doubt vouch for him, he might be unaware of the forum rules but I know for sure he wouldn't post links to malware or anything else that would get him banned, I suppose many other forum members who are active in the mining section would also vouch for him. I hope he gets his account back
I have just encountered one of the reasons to be a good and respectable member of the forum. In cases like this people will come all out to vouch for you and protect your interest. Scott has been defended by almost half of the members that responded to this thread. It reminds me of a verse in a religious book that states that a good name is better than riches. I also hope the moderator investigates this case and hopefully Scott gets his account back to continue his good service to the community.
