What does this mean? I don't see a single positive moment from its international ties. The fact that he has agreed to sell to the Arabs weapons is not positive. Yes, it will bring income to the companies producing weapons and possibly create some jobs, but you know against whom these weapons will be directed in the future. It may be a Pyrrhic victory.

The topic title brought me here and the video made me laugh I guess the biggest benefit of the media's Trump radar is that even when he is abroad they have to show all the cultural traditions while covering him. I did like how the other Rex and Wilbur were going this is awkward we are holding swords and dancing.
The fun part of it is that he is getting the Royal Treatment Obama never got while still complaining about the threats of ISIS and radical Islam, as for weapon sales that is the American business just who they sell it to can cause issues.

For all the travel bans, for all the anti IS rhetoric, we make a fucking arms deal with the same regime we know for a fact is supporting them? Practical, non hilarious reasons aside (Trump obviously has interests in companies that contract with the military. War = more spending = more shareholder profits. I digress), I think Bannon and Trump made a bet to see how many list items they can get off before his approval rating hits zero. Im clearly in a simulation right now, this cant be real. From his cabinet picks, to his policy, its like he does the literal exact opposite of the thing he said earlier. An anti environment EPA head. An anti school education pick. A board of advisors that are all lobbyist is a great way to drain a swamp. And selling military hardware to the Saudis is apparently a winning strategy in the fight on terror. To be fair to both Mr Trump and Mr Obama, many might not be aware that Saudi Arabia took it upon itself to buy a very large stake in our bond markets, years ago. If we don't play nice, they have threatened to crash said market (this direct threat is the reason why the 9/11 commission backed way off of the civil prosecution of the Saudi gov for its role. Republicans were rightly outraged, it wasn't a proud moment for O.).

The right is kinda having trouble reporting on all this shit. The ultra conservatives aren't too keen on radical Islam, Trump kissing Saudi ass isn't sitting too well in conservative palates. The spin is to point out the differences in the interactions between O and T's interactions with SA. Ann Coulter even went as far as to call Trump an 'alpha male', pointing out his apparently warmer welcome by SA.

 

I have to make an aside. Please understand how hilarious comparisons of the vitality of Obama and Trump are. Trump is like, fucking ancient. He subsists off of Diet Coke, red meat, and ice cream. Obama was healthy to the point of comedy, those soccer mom special jeans he wore to that ball game should have been burned with fire, but provided a hilarious talking point.

I think there should not be comparison between the two (trump and Obama) About their visit to Saudi Arabian. Trump have a natural strong face and his outlook is not as flexible as Obama but I. Think he look happy and a bit feel at home.

I have a feeling that Donald Trump's foreign policy will be much more successful than that of his predecessor.

That means that he will not give permission for the intelligence agencies, to probe the alleged Saudi links during the September 11 attacks. The Saudi royals will be much relieved now, with how the things turned out.

You can't seperate the big companies from the US government because, the US government itself is a big company being run by a businessman.

You assert #1 leads to #2, but it doesn't. It's not the US government that buys the oil but various companies. Those companies don't have the ability to print the dollars. (It could be that in a few cases, of course, the US government does directly buy oil or a by product. For example Trump's plane is over there now. The payment for refueling it was a US government purchase directly.

The oil market is "fungible," which means that anyone can buy from anyone. Regardless of established long term trading partners, if someone offers a higher prices, he'll get the business.

I would dance like that too if i were robbing the biggest Oil producing country there is.

1- USA prints USD out of thin air.
2- USA buys Oil from SA with those papers.
3- USA sells guns to SA and collect its papers back.
4- USA creates more jobs at gun business.
5- SA sells more Oil to get more USA papers.
